Bennett University to Organise its 1st International Moot Court Competition from April 5

New Delhi: Bennett University, Noida will organize its first International Moot Court Competition from April 05 to April 07, 2024. The Moot Court was conducted on a national level by the Bennett University School of Law until last year. However, the Bennett International Moot Court will see the arrival of participants from outside India. Earlier, the registrations for the event ended on January 31, 2024.

The Bennett Moot Court Competition is held for UG law students in 5-year or 3-year LLB programs. The competition is a space for participants to study international law and make well-researched arguments for or against the topic or theme at hand.

As per Bennett University, Noida, this year’s theme is “International Criminal Law”, a broad topic that can facilitate a lot of debate around the nature of justice in an international setting, where different states or stakeholders may have different laws for the same action.

Last year’s edition of the National Bennett Moot Court Competition took place from February 10 to February 12, 2023. The topic for the Moot Court Competition was “Criminal Law and Technology”.

This year, prizes of up to INR 75,000/- will be up for grabs for the winning team at the Bennett International Moot Court Competition. The runner-up team will also avail of a cash prize of INR 40,000/-.

Additionally, individual cash prizes of INR 5000 will be given away for titles such as Best Prosecution, Best Speaker, Best Researcher, etc. Each prizewinner will also get a memento. All participants will receive certificates from Bennett University.
