The Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune, will soon be inviting admission applications from the wards of serving and retired Army, Navy, and Air Force personnel for B.Tech programs in February based on JEE Main 2026 scores for the academic year 2026. Interested candidates can apply online at aitpune.com during the same period.

AIT Pune B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

1. A candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with 45% marks, with compulsory subjects including Physics and Mathematics, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational Subject/ Computer Science / Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Electronics/ Entrepreneurship.

1. The minimum eligibility requirement for admission to the B.Tech programs, a candidate must be a ward of serving/ retired Army/Navy/Air Force personnel are eligible to apply for admission to AIT.
2. A candidate must be an Indian citizen or a PIO who has obtained/obtains Indian citizenship before admission.
3. The parent should have completed a minimum of 10 years of regular service in the Indian Army/Navy/Air Force.
4. The candidate must fulfill the age criteria and pass marks in each subject as required in JEE Main 2026.

AIT admissions will be based on the All India Rank obtained in JEE Main 2026. Some extra weightage is given to candidates who are wards of disabled soldiers, war widows, and gallantry award winners, as per the AIT Prospectus.

All interested students must appear for JEE Main 2026. If a candidate appears in both sessions, the best percentile score will be considered by NTA to prepare the final merit list and All India Rank. In the last year, the closing rank at AIT was 1,72,539, with a percentile of 88.31.
