Sample for MAT 2024 Scorecard
AIMA conducts the MAT 2024 examination in three modes: Internet Based Test (IBT), Paper Based Test (PBT), and CBT. Conducted four times annually, the exam serves as an entry requirement for MBA, PGDM, and MMS programs in accredited management universities and related institutions.
Candidates who appeared in the MAT computer-based test (CBT) on March 10, 2024 will be able to check their scores from the official website, aima.in, using their user ID and password. The MAT 2024 score will be used by around 600 B-schools in India for granting admission to MBA programmes.
What is the Normalisation Process for MAT 2024 Result?

Formula for calculating normalised scores in MAT 2024 Result
Since the MAT exam 2024 is conducted across multiple sessions, there can be slight variations in difficulty levels. The AIMA revealed that these minor discrepancies are addressed through the normalization and scaling procedure.
Consequently, equivalent scaled scores reflect approximately the same level of proficiency, as evaluated by the test, irrespective of the administration or the number of sessions in which the test was conducted, it stated.
According to the MAT Examination Pattern, the MAT question paper comprises six sections: language comprehension, mathematical skills, data analysis and sufficiency, intelligence and critical reasoning, and Indian and global environment.
The MAT scorecard will feature six scores corresponding to each section. Scores for language comprehension, mathematical skills, data analysis and sufficiency, and intelligence and critical reasoning are presented on scales ranging from 0 to 100. Scores below 20 or above 80 are rare.
The MAT composite score is determined solely by the first four sections of the test "due to their direct correlation with skills developed over an extended period." Equal weightage is given to each of these four sections and computed on a scale from 199 to 801. Scores falling below 200 or exceeding 800 are considered uncommon.
Furthermore, the Indian and global environment section is assessed independently and is presented on a scale of 0 to 100. For this section, scores below 20 or above 80 are rare.
