Important Details from the Provisional Merit List:

The First Provisional Merit List is based on the availability of seats in each category and program. Candidates whose names appear in the list must complete certain formalities for confirming their provisional admission.

Key Steps for Provisional Admission Confirmation

  • Provisional Admission Fee: All students whose names have appeared in the First Provisional Merit List are liable to pay a confirmation fee of ₹50,000. Payment can be done latest by 20 January 2025. After the said due date, an admission offer to the student would automatically stand canceled. The seat then would be allocated to the subsequent candidate on the merit list.
  • Counseling Fee: Candidates who have not paid the counseling fee earlier or were not invited for the regular LL.M. program must pay a counseling fee of ₹80,000 (₹70,000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates). This fee is to be paid along with the provisional confirmation fee.

Both the provisional admission confirmation fee and counseling fee will be adjusted towards the balance fee, which is payable by April 30, 2025.

Switching Between Programs

Candidates provisionally admitted to either the LL.M. or the Joint Master’s in LL.M. (IPR) Program can opt to switch programs. To make the switch:

  • Once the candidates accept it, the choice becomes final and candidates cannot reverse it to take up the earlier offered program again.
  • Both the provisional admission confirmation fee and counseling fee will be adjusted according to the new program.
