AIIMS New Delhi and IITI Drishti CPS Foundation Launched SETU 2024

New Delhi: IITI DRISHTI CPS Foundation and AIIMS New Delhi announced the successful launch of SETU-2024 to reflect digital healthcare innovation in India. The launch was under the initiative of the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NMICPS), launched by the Prime Minister in 2018.

The joint initiative SETU-2024 provides a special venue for AIIMS New Delhi and DRISHTI CPS Foundation to come together and promote the commercialization of innovative medical technology. 

SETU 2024 included a wide range of hardware and software technologies, including decision support systems, 3D modelling solutions, simulation tools, and digitalization platforms, built by entrepreneurs and university researchers who were financed and mentored by DRISHTI CPS.

Project Director of DRISHTI CPS Foundation, Prof. Bhupesh Kumar Lad welcomed dignitaries and participants, emphasizing the pivotal role of innovation and the foundation’s efforts in collaboration between academia, startups, and healthcare organizations.

Former Director of AIIMS New Delhi, and the Chief Guest of the program, Dr. MC Misra emphasized the role of digitalization in the current healthcare landscape. Director of AIIMS New Delhi, and Guest of Honor, mentioned the need to develop frugal and cost-effective healthcare solutions, aligning with the vision of achieving ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharath’ in the healthcare sector.

The event witnessed engaging Panel Discussions with experts from various AIIMS, National Health Authority, IGIB, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the University of Michigan, and William J Clinton Foundation, among others. The experts were engaging on the challenges and opportunities in digital healthcare, highlighting its pivotal role in advancing the Indian healthcare system.
