AIIMS Delhi PhD Admission 2025: General Eligibility
Candidates applying for the PhD program must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Medical and Nursing Qualifications
Medical Qualification:
- MBBS/BDS with at least 55% aggregate marks, or
- MD/MS/MDS/DM/M.Ch., or
- Diplomate of National Board of Examination.
Note: Degrees must be from colleges recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
Nursing Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Nursing (Speciality) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
Non-Medical Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree (2 years) awarded by an Indian university in the required field for the project.
- M.Sc. in Life Sciences: Only this degree will be considered eligible for specific seats where mentioned.
- Other eligible degrees: M.Sc. (excluding M.Sc. Nursing), M.Tech., BAMS, BHMS.
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks are required in the last qualifying examination.
- Master’s Degrees obtained through distance learning are not eligible.
Special Weightage for Non-Medical Candidates:
Non-medical candidates who have qualified for certain national entrance tests and received fellowships will receive extra marks during the selection process.

- Joint CSIR-UGC NET for JRF
- ICMR-JRF
- DBT-JRF
- NBHM Screening Test
