- The degree program combines cultural and literary studies with media studies and independent creative work. Students receive the theoretical and historical grounding necessary for reflecting on the ever-changing role of media in modern society. In addition, they receive training in analyzing content transmitted through the media (from texts and classical audiovisual mass media to the multimedia formats of the “new media”), also as a starting point for creating their own media content.
- An overview of all the subjects that can be taken in combination with subject Ancient Civilization Studies by students who started their B.A. degree program in the winter semester 2013/14 or later:

DSH (result 2 or 3) or TestDaF (with a score of at least 4 on all four parts of the test) or the Goethe-certificate C2 or the 2nd level language certificate from the Conference of the Ministry of Education and the Arts or Telc C1 Hochschule.
Evidence of German language proficiency at B2 level is required for an application for Studienkolleg.
