It is located in a city which is student friendly meaning the cost of living is very affordable. There are various student clubs and activities, sport facilities, and quite a few canteens. The weather is not so extreme compared to nordic countries especially during winters. The summer is the best time here.

Overall, it has been a wonderful experience at TUD. I had a lot of expectations while coming to the University for my masters and having almost done with the course, I can comfortably say that almost all my expectations have been met , with some even exceeded. I made a lot of friends from all parts of the world, attended countless seminars across the continent and met a lot of important people in my field and in general. If academic excellence is your goal and you want to improve yourself, this is certainly one of the place to be.

My experience at TU Dresden has been mixed. Though there are some beautiful things about Dresden and TUD, it does lack in certain areas and there is improvement to be done. Nevertheless, as one lives in Germany, it not that much of a rat race and everyone does their Master's at their own pace. Which is better in many ways.

The defining experience of my life and the time where I think I have grown the most. I have experienced an exponential growth academically and professionally. And personally, being in a new country, working and managing everything on your own makes you grow on a personal level as well equally. Nothing is easy, but it surely is rewarding.

I would say going to TUD was one of my best decisions. Germany is great country for life science research, but also for living (Its not too expensive). The University helped me to build better, stronger personal and professional connections. I was an introvert and was easily intimidated by people, but the whole experience changed my life and helped to become a stronger, confident and independent person. Academically, it boosted my core skills and helped me to achieve things that was impossible to achieve with my past experiences.
