What Students Say
Likes
- My interest in the course was the top priority along with the all other opportunities.
- I am really fascinated by the international environment at the university and the broad range of opportunities available including sports offers, language courses, career workshops, cultural dinners/potlucks and many others.
Dislikes
- The university schedules classes between 7:00AM and 8:00PM depending on the course, and during winter it gets really difficult to make it to the classes be it early morning or late evening as it is very cold and dark in the morning and the sun sets at about 4:00PM in the evening.
Required Exams for Admission
Well structured with great international exposure (~ 34000 students), excellent research facilities and friendly environment.
Course Curriculum
The course is highly advanced with up to date content including research and industrial experience.
Faculty
Each student has a mentor assigned throughout the course which is great in case of any questions. The professors at the faculty are very helpful and kind and always ready to answer any questions, they are very experienced and down to earth.
Campus Life
The university has all possible facilities, infrastructure and extracurricular activities one can think of as a student.
Placement
Since my course is research based, a doctoral degree further or finding a research position is relatively easy. One can also find opportunities otherwise with the help of career service from the university.
Accommodation
The Studentenwerk/Student Accommodation are well maintained and mostly very close to the university with affordable rates. There are also other private hotels and apartments for students near the university which can be easily rented. The average rent for students would be between 250 and 300 Euros.
Exams
Requirements are often course specific, for my course taking IELTS was sufficient with score 7.5. Yes, all 3 docs. These should be tailored to your course and any relevant experience/projects. I was selected without any interviews or tests although depending on the application and its completeness most students are often interviewed along with taking a test.
Fees
Approximately 300 Euros every semester (6 months)
