- Esteemed Faculty with similar background to my research interest , research infrastructure, location of university.
- Research environment was very good. Supervisors, colleagues and all the people are around are very supportive. You get to know individuals from various countries and also experience new cultures. Vibrant community of researchers with proper infrastructure.
Dislikes
- Nothing much was there to dislike. You may miss home sometimes, native people may sometimes seem cold and unwelcoming and cold weather can be a little testing but it's being very critical. It's a top class university with good faculty and Facilities.
It's was overall an enthralling experience. New people, culture, environment and research group. Enjoyed my stay there and travelled across whole of europe ( around 15 countries).
Course Curriculum
Course syllabus is up do date and also have practical applications. Hands on industry collaboration in final project.
Faculty
Max Around 10 students per faculty, very knowledgeable faculty and supportive staff. Easily approachable and believed in proper communication.
Campus Life
Campus life was very enriching, language classes are held to impart basic German skills. Tours were organised for museums, trekking etc. Sports Centre is also there to carry out hobbies.
Placement
Didn't opt for the placement. Don't know much about it. My colleagues tried various approaches. Job fair was organised by the university for students. Also students took off campus placements too after completion of the course. Few got pre placements offers from the industry. Most of the masters student opted for PhD abroad in prestigious universities.
Accommodation
Accommodation was in student apartment. Separate room with common Kitchen and bathrooms. Paid laundry and heating facilities.
Exams
A good IELTS score is preferred but it's not compulsory as it carries a weightage but other things also matters like your educational background, research paper published in reputed / peer reviewed journal, your SOP, research proposal etc. Yes SOP, research proposal, LOR, CV, M.tech entry interview, Stream specific technical questions with emphasis on research done during bachelors and few questions regarding educational background. Be technically strong and focus on basics and applications to real world.
Fees
Tuition fee was around 250€ per month.
Scholarship
DAAD scholarship, 750€ /month, applied via website.
