Likes
- One of the best in Germany for Electronics along with ample job opportunities. No tuition fee.
- The teachers and the course as a whole. The opportunities to interact with different companies during the career fairs. The exhibitions related to the current research being done.
Dislikes
- The course can be somewhat difficult at times as there are a lot of things to manage at once, i.e., studying, working and doing other chores. You need to adjust to the weather and focus on your health.
Required Exams for Admission
The onboarding to the university is very smooth and the course is very informational. The teachers are well versed and up-to-date with the latest research in their area of expertise.
Course Curriculum
Very relevant syllabus. Studies are more research focused.
Faculty
The faculty and staff are very approachable. Prof. Dr. Akash Kumar was very helpful to me during my studies and guided me for my Master Thesis.
Campus Life
There are a lot of campus events including exhibitions and career fairs. We also have a very big Indian Students Association.
Placement
I haven't finished my studies yet, but students can except an average salary of around 35000-40000 euros annually.
Accommodation
Dresden has a lot of student accommodations with prices ranging from 250 to 500 euros. In most of them you get your own room but share the apartment with 3 or 4 people.
Exams
My score IELTS 8.0; Required B2 proficiency in English. No other tests were required. SOP, LORs and CV required. Focus on why you are interested in the course and what you want to do afterwards. Mentions projects related to the course applied for.
Fees
Their is no tuition fee. You do need to pay a semester fee which includes public transportation costs. It is approximately 300 euros per semester.
