- I had the opportunities in Dresden related with semiconductor industry.
- Its under top 9 university of Germany and helps to contribute to the science feild by writing papers or research work. There is lots of companies related to the semiconductor industry for example fab like XFAB , Global foundries, Infenion. So very good opportunity who are willing to work for the different cutting edge technologies.
Dislikes
- Nothing as such. But few minor things are some course which are very area specific are not having much job opportunities. So I think choosing the location as per the interests of the subjects matters a lot.
My experience for first year was amazing the best life which I had in my career. But second half It was worst because I had to write two research paper to get my degree. Research paper are not so easy task . They had lots of pressure , mind storming sessions and les guidance. So it was challenging and worth to get the degree at TUD Germany.
Course Curriculum
They are up to date as per the industry standards. I think if anyone is interested in semiconductor field . I suggest the Dresden University would be best for Nanoelectronics and technology related core work opportunities.
Exams
IELTS 6.5 , GRE 300 is good enough to get into admission . I wrote IELTS 7 for TUD. Submitted the SOP , LOR and CV. LOR from companies and University would be added advantage. CV including the work experience would be best. No, I did not come across such interviews. If I had I would prepare accordingly the basics and Language related question related to the course which am applying.
Placement
Post study opportunities are very much but unless and until the person should be willing to relocate and able to find the opportunities.
Internship
I had to do project and thesis . I had no internship that was compulsory. I worked in DMOS German company for 3 months as internship as Analog Layout designer.
Fees
I had zero tuition fee. I had examination fee of 300 euros per 6 month.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is 1:20 . They are very very knowledgeable. Each has very different way of teaching. I see some big faculty name who contributed to the science field in this University. Professor Bartha , semiconductor industry and lecture is the best one. He taught the semiconductor fabrication subject in such a way that we got a good idea how the fabs work and their concept.
Campus Life
Campus life is very enjoyable. They are the best . We have lots of Indian association and some student association which has many events in week almost keep going to make sure people are engaged and doing the best in their course.
Hostel
I was given accommodation by University . Studentenwerk Dresden. I had to pay 350 euros for single living cost.
