KEDGE recommends Indian applicants apply 90 to 120 days before the intended start date. This buffer allows time for application review, online interview, and the French student visa processing (4 to 6 weeks via Campus France). The 30-minute online interview is mandatory for MiM and MSc applicants and follows the document review.

  • Acceptance rate is approximately 6%, making KEDGE highly competitive.
  • Early Bird Scholarship: up to 10% tuition off for applications submitted by 15 November of the prior year.
  • Full-Time MBA Paris Excellence Scholarship: up to 35% tuition off for applications by 15 November 2025.

Tip: For Indian applicants targeting KEDGE September 2026 MiM Grande École, submit your application by November 2025 to qualify for the Early Bird Scholarship (10% off). The Full-Time MBA Paris January 2026 intake has the most generous scholarship: Excellence Scholarships up to 35% are awarded first-come, first-served until 15 November 2025. After that, scholarship pools shrink rapidly.

KEDGE Admissions Intakes & Application Process

KEDGE Business School accepts applications through the (student.kedge.edu) online portal. The school's application process is structured: document submission first, then a 30-minute online interview for MiM and MSc applicants. KEDGE does not require GMAT or GRE for most programmes, but recommends submission for strong candidates aiming for competitive scholarship consideration.

What Are the Main Programmes KEDGE Offers to Indian Applicants?

KEDGE offers the BBA Global International Business (4-year undergraduate) and the MIM Grande École (2-year Master in Management with specialisation breadth). Other programmes include 8 specialised MSc tracks (International Business, Marketing, Finance, Global Supply Chain Management, Banking & Finance, and others). The Full-Time MBA (Paris campus, January and September intakes), the Executive MBA (FT 39th worldwide), specialised programmes, and PhD programmes (launched 2019) complete the portfolio.

What is the Step-by-Step KEDGE Application Process?

  9. Receive admission decision plus scholarship result within 4 to 6 weeks of complete submission.

  11. Apply for the French Long-stay Visa for Studies (VLS-TS) via Campus France.

  10. Pay tuition deposit and apply for the French student visa.

How Long Does KEDGE Take to Release Admission Decisions?

KEDGE Business School operates rolling admissions with decision turnarounds varying by programme. MiM Grande École and MSc programme decisions typically arrive within 4 to 6 weeks of complete submission and interview. Full-Time MBA decisions can take 6 to 8 weeks due to the cohort-balancing process.

Application Type Decision Released
BBA Global International Business 4 to 6 weeks after complete submission
MiM Grande École (incl. online interview) 4 to 6 weeks after complete submission
MSc Programmes (incl. online interview) 4 to 6 weeks after complete submission
Full-Time MBA Paris (incl. interview) 6 to 8 weeks after complete submission
Executive MBA 6 to 8 weeks after complete submission

Note: KEDGE's 30-minute online interview is the decisive selection step for MiM and MSc applicants. The interview assesses motivation, English fluency, cultural fit with KEDGE's three pillars (entrepreneurship, technology management, common good), and clarity of career direction. Indian applicants should prepare answers covering why KEDGE specifically, which campus (Bordeaux, Marseille, or Paris), and how the programme connects to their career trajectory.

KEDGE Business School Acceptance Rate

KEDGE Business School has an indicative acceptance rate of approximately 6%, placing it among the most selective French grandes écoles. The selectivity reflects KEDGE's triple accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA) and Financial Times rankings. Competition for the limited cohort seats across the 14,800-student institution is high.

How Competitive is KEDGE Admission for Indian Students?

KEDGE's selectivity is driven by quota management within the global campus network rather than pure application volume. The Bordeaux and Marseille campuses absorb the largest cohorts; the Paris campus is more recent (opened 2018) and has a smaller cohort capacity. Indian applicants typically apply to Bordeaux, Marseille, or Paris, depending on programme.

Indian admit profiles at KEDGE cluster around the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognised university with 60-70%+ aggregate.
  • For MiM Grande École: minimum 2 years of higher education completed outside France.
  • IELTS 6.0+ (no band below 5.5) or TOEFL iBT 80+ or Duolingo 105+ for English proficiency.
  • GMAT/GRE optional; competitive scholarship applications typically include 660-730 GMAT or 320-330 GRE.
  • Strong CV with internships, projects, or work experience demonstrating career direction.
  • Confident performance on the 30-minute online interview, demonstrating English fluency and motivation.
  • For Full-Time MBA: minimum 3 years post-graduation work experience.

Key Insight: KEDGE's structural strength for Indian applicants is the global campus network (4 France campuses + 4 international campuses across China, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire). Indian MiM Grande École students can complete up to 4 semesters in China through the Shanghai or Suzhou campuses. This creates dual EU-Asia exposure that few European business schools can match. The Paris campus opened in 2018 also provides a French capital base for finance, consulting, and luxury careers.

KEDGE Eligibility Requirements for Indian Students

KEDGE Business School applies eligibility criteria aligned with European Higher Education Area standards (180 ECTS for bachelor's, 120 additional ECTS for master's). The school accepts Indian three-year and four-year bachelor's degrees from recognised universities, with the MiM Grande École requiring at least 2 years of higher education completed outside France.

What Are the Academic Eligibility Criteria at KEDGE?

For Master in Management Grande École admission, Indian applicants need:

  • An international bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of higher education undertaken outside France.
  • Both 3-year and 4-year Indian bachelor's degrees are accepted.
  • Academic record demonstrating consistent performance (60-70%+ aggregate typical).
  • GMAT or GRE is optional; 660-730 GMAT recommended for competitive scholarship standing.
  • For Full-Time MBA: minimum 3 years post-graduation work experience.
  • For Executive MBA: extensive senior management experience (typically 8+ years).

What English Proficiency Tests Does KEDGE Accept?

KEDGE accepts the following English proficiency proofs (note the relatively accessible thresholds compared to top-tier European b-schools):

  • IELTS Academic: 6.0 minimum
  • TOEFL iBT: 80 minimum
  • TOEIC: 785 overall
  • PTE Academic: 50 minimum
  • Duolingo English Test: 105 minimum
  • Cambridge English: 180 overall (B2 First or higher)

IELTS Waiver Path for Indian Students: KEDGE does not publish an automatic IELTS waiver. Indian applicants whose bachelor's was fully in English-medium can submit a Medium of Instruction letter from the registrar. The Admissions Team reviews waiver requests case-by-case. The published thresholds (IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 80) are relatively accessible, so most Indian English-medium graduates clear them comfortably.

What Documents Do Indian Master's Applicants Need to Submit?

  • Bachelor's degree transcripts and provisional certificate with grading scale.
  • IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Duolingo, TOEIC, or Cambridge English score.
  • Passport copy (first and last pages); valid 18+ months.
  • CV or resume highlighting academic and professional experience.
  • Motivation letter / statement of purpose. Review the Statement of Purpose format guide for structure.
  • One recommendation letter (academic or professional referee).
  • GMAT or GRE score (optional but strengthens scholarship consideration).
  • 30-minute online interview confirmation.
  • Application fee receipt (€120).

Combined with the 6% acceptance rate, KEDGE positions itself as a selective programme offering meaningful financial support for high-quality international admits. Apply by early November 2025 for the strongest scholarship consideration.

KEDGE Admission Tips for Indian Students

The most common Indian applicant stumble at KEDGE is missing the Early Bird Scholarship deadline (15 November). Applications submitted after this date still receive admission consideration but lose key scholarship advantages. The up-to-10% tuition reduction for MiM/MSc and the up-to-35% Excellence Scholarship for Full-Time MBA Paris both close on this date. The second most common stumble is under-preparing for the 30-minute online interview, which is the decisive selection step.

  • Submit applications by 15 November 2025 for the strongest scholarship consideration; this applies to all MiM, MSc, and Full-Time MBA Paris programmes.
  • Prepare for the 30-minute online interview thoroughly; research KEDGE's three pillars (entrepreneurship, technology management, and common good) and connect them to your career goals.
  • If targeting the Full-Time MBA Paris, apply by November 2025 for the January 2026 intake to access the Excellence Scholarship up to 35%.
  • Submit GMAT or GRE if you have a 660+ GMAT or 320+ GRE; the test is optional, but it strengthens scholarship consideration.
  • For Indian English-medium bachelor's, submit the Medium of Instruction letter to support waiver consideration; KEDGE's IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 80 threshold is relatively accessible.
  • Pay the tuition deposit immediately after acceptance; popular programmes fill quickly, given the 6% acceptance rate.
  • Apply for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship through the French Embassy in India if eligible; this French government scholarship provides ~€1,100/month for international Master's admits.
  • For the MiM Grande École, plan for up to 4 semesters in China through KEDGE's Shanghai or Suzhou campuses; this dual EU-Asia exposure is a distinctive pathway.
  • French student visa via Campus France VFS Global takes 4 to 6 weeks; complete the Études en France online procedure before the visa appointment.
  • Arrange accommodation in Bordeaux, Marseille, or Paris early; KEDGE does not offer on-campus housing for most programmes but maintains residence hall partnerships.
  • Engage with KEDGE's 72,000+ alumni network via LinkedIn before applying; alumni recommendations and referrals strengthen the application file.
  • France offers international students a 1-year post-study residence permit extendable into a 2-year stay-back visa for skilled employment.

KEDGE Business School's distinctive admission angle for Indian applicants combines three structural advantages. The 150-year heritage (founding schools BEM 1874 and Euromed Marseille 1872) plus the 2013 merger creates a modern triple-accredited grande école. This places KEDGE in the global top 1% of business schools by accreditation. The global campus network spans France (4 campuses) plus China (Shanghai, Suzhou), Senegal (Dakar), and Côte d'Ivoire (Abidjan). Indian MiM students can complete up to 4 semesters in China, creating dual EU-Asia credentials. The 6% acceptance rate is high. Plan to apply by November 2025 to lock the seat with the strongest scholarship consideration.

Scholarship

  • In fact, there were scholarships available for the course, but I cannot recall their specific names or full requirements. However, some of my classmates received financial assistance or partial scholarships, mainly because of their outstanding profiles, early submission of their applications, or top performance in school.
  • There were variations in the number of beneficiaries and the amount of rewards each year. In my case, I did not receive any scholarship for the course.

Scholarship

  • Yes, I received scholarships named early bird and the Erasmus scholarship.
  • The criteria for the selection are our past academic records (HSC, bachelor's, French language). The waiver on the fees was 900 euros for early birds and 900 euros for Erasmus.
  • I don't know if any of my friends applied for this scholarship. Neither has any idea about the student who receives this scholarship.

Scholarship

  • No, unfortunately I had no scholarship available for me. But I think there are a few government based scholarships in france that you can apply for, although the chances would be very slim.
  • One can look for Erasmus+ scholarship and you can also visit campus france offices in India for more information.
  • I had no one in my batch who had a scholarship. I think the other universities would have better scope of achieving scholarships to waive off tuition fees.

Scholarship

  • Yes, there are scholarships but depending on each student's academics and experience. And also an early bird offer of 1% reduction in fees.
  • I am not aware of how many students receive but a few of my batchmates said they recieved a scholarship too.
  • Mine was 2000€ a merit scholarship , my batchmates some of them got a bit more as well.
  • There is also Bourse:
  • The KEDGE Scholarship is a social scholarship.
  • The scholarship is therefore paid to students in precarious situations: applications are analysed on the basis of household income (family income), then ranked in order of priority. This ranking allows the KEDGE grant to be paid out until the allocated budget is exhausted.
