Your TG EdCET rank card is the key document for the entire B.Ed. admission process — from certificate verification to college reporting. TG EdCET 2026 Qualifying Marks

To qualify TG EdCET 2026, General and OBC (BC) category candidates must score at least 25% of the total 150 marks — that works out to 38 marks. SC, ST, and PH (Persons with Disability) candidates have no minimum qualifying marks — they are automatically considered qualified by appearing in the examination and are ranked regardless of score.

Qualifying and getting a good seat are two different things. You can clear 38 marks and still not secure your preferred B.Ed. college if your rank is low. TG EdCET 2026 Merit List

How tie-breaking works: If two candidates score the same total marks, TGCHE applies these criteria in order:

What After TG EdCET Result 2026?

Once the result and rank card are out, the admission process moves into TGCHE counselling. It is fully web-based — from certificate verification to seat allotment. Based on previous years, the process typically wraps up by July–August. Here is what to expect step by step.

Step 1 — Download Rank Card and Verify Details

Download your rank card from edcet.tgche.ac.in as soon as the result is out. Check your name, category, marks, and qualifying status carefully. If anything looks wrong, contact the TGCHE helpdesk before counselling begins.

Step 2 — Certificate Verification

Qualified candidates must get their documents verified at TGCHE-designated help centres. Carry your rank card, graduation mark sheets, caste certificate (if applicable), Aadhaar card, and other originals along with self-attested photocopies. Missing this step means you cannot proceed to counselling.

Step 3 — Web Option / Choice Filling

After verification, fill in your preferred colleges and B.Ed. subject specialisations online through the TGCHE portal. Prioritise carefully — once the editing window closes, the choices are locked. Put your most-preferred college and subject at the top of the list.

Step 4 — Seat Allotment

TGCHE allots seats based on rank, category, and the choices you have filled. Multiple allotment rounds are conducted. If your preferred seat does not come up in Round 1, stay in the process — better options can open in later rounds as higher-ranked candidates lock in their first preferences and vacate other spots.

Step 5 — College Reporting and Admission

Once a seat is allotted, report to the college within the deadline with original documents and pay the admission fee. Missing the reporting deadline means losing the allotted seat.
