What is Tripura NEET Counselling 2026?

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tripura, conducts this counselling for the 85% state quota seats in both government and private colleges. The remaining 15% of seats at government colleges are filled through the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at the national level.

Since NEET UG 2026 re-exam was held on June 21, 2026, and the result is expected in mid-to-late July 2026, the counselling timeline may be pushed slightly later compared to the 2025 cycle. The expected dates below are based on the 2025 counselling cycle and should be treated as approximate guidance.

All 2026 dates are expected and not yet confirmed. The official schedule will be published at dme.tripura.gov.in once the NEET UG 2026 result is declared. Candidates must track the official portal regularly from late June 2026 onwards.

Tripura NEET Counselling 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet both the NEET UG 2026 qualifying requirements and Tripura-specific domicile rules to be eligible for the state quota seats in Tripura NEET Counselling 2026. Non-fulfilment of any one criterion leads to disqualification at the document verification stage.

NEET UG 2026 Qualifying Percentile

• General (UR) category: 50th percentile — minimum qualifying score approximately 130 marks or above out of 720.
• SC / ST / OBC categories: 40th percentile — minimum qualifying score approximately 120 marks or above.

• You must be at least 17 years of age by December 31, 2026.
• There is no upper age limit as per the current Supreme Court ruling applicable to NEET UG 2026.

Domicile Requirement (State Quota)

State quota seats in Tripura are open only to permanent residents of the state. You must meet one of the following domicile conditions:

• You or your parent must have resided in Tripura for a minimum of 10 consecutive years before the date of the application form release.
• Children of All India Service (AIS) officers belonging to the Tripura cadre are eligible regardless of current residence.
• Children of Tripura state government or Central government employees currently posted outside Tripura, who completed Class 10 and 12 from schools in Tripura, are eligible.

National Medical Commission (NMC) Requirements

• Candidates must not have been debarred by NTA or NMC from appearing in NEET UG 2026.
• All academic and domicile certificates must be from recognized and competent authorities.

Tripura NEET Counselling 2026: Registration Process

Registration for Tripura NEET UG Counselling 2026 is done in online mode at the DME Tripura portal. The registration window is typically only 4–5 days, so you must act as soon as the notification is released. Candidates who miss the registration window are not included in the merit list for that round.

Step-by-Step Registration Process

• Step 1 — Visit the official portal: Go to dme.tripura.gov.in and click on the Tripura NEET UG Counselling 2026 registration link when it is active.
• Step 2 — Fill the application form: Enter your NEET UG 2026 roll number, registration number, date of birth, and personal details accurately.
• Step 3 — Upload documents: Upload scanned copies of your NEET admit card, NEET scorecard, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, Tripura domicile/Permanent Residence Certificate, and category certificate (if applicable).

Fresh Registration in Mop-Up Round

Tripura NEET Counselling 2026: Application Fee
