As per SMAT 2025 Syllabus, the question paper will consist of 5 sections namely, Quantitative Analysis, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability (Verbal Reasoning and Reading Comprehension), and Sports Awareness. The exam will be of 80 minutes and candidates have to solve 80 questions within this time period. Candidates need to maintain their speed throughout the exam.

What is SMAT?
SMAT 2025 or Sports Management Admission Test is an online entrance test to apply for admission at IISM. The paper is designed in a specific way that tests the most important and basic quality of the candidates - Sports Management. SMAT focuses on candidates’ liking and awareness of the sports industry and their sagacity towards the business angle of sports.

SMAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
IISM offers Full-Time Business Management Program in four courses. Admission to these programs can be taken through SMAT and MAH CET (reserved for candidates belonging to Maharashtra).
Eligibility Criteria for admission through SMAT:
- The minimum required percentage at the HSC and graduation level (Bachelor’s degree) is 50% for applicants belonging to the Open category.
- The minimum required percentage at the HSC and graduation level (Bachelor’s degree) is 45% for applicants belonging to the Reserved category.
Eligibility Criteria for admission through MAH CET:
Post Graduate applicants can also apply via their MAH CET scores.
- Bachelors in Sports Management (BSM) degree from Mumbai University - 3-year program
- Master's in Sports Management (MSM) degree from Mumbai University - 2-year program
- Post Graduate Program in Sports & Wellness Management (PGPS & WM) - 11-month autonomous program
- Post Graduate Program in Sports Event Management - 11-month program
- Open category
- Reserved Category (Maharashtra Domicile applicants only)
- For Open category, the minimum required MAH CET percentile is 50.
- For Reserved Category, the minimum required MAH CET percentile is 45.

Admission Process at IISM through SMAT
A very stringent admission process is followed at IISM which helps in the further scrutinization of candidates. The entire process has been designed in a manner that can accommodate students who can be transformed to become thoughtful leaders, ready to take up challenges in the sports marketplace in India and abroad.
A holistic admission process is followed in order to admit students in Sports Management Programs. The process is divided into 3 stages:

SMAT 2025 Application Form Filling Process:
While a candidate is filling in SMAT 2025 Application form, students needs to make sure of following the below-mentioned instructions:-

IISM Selection Criteria
- SMAT - Sports Management Admission Test Entrance exam will be for 80 Marks and will comprise the following:

- Case lets & Overall Performance will cover Academic scores, Sports Achievements & Extra-curricular Activities for 100 marks
The Case lets are designed to extract and evaluate the best of knowledge of the aspirant. It consists of cases—that will give a fair idea of how aspirants think, their outlook towards circumstances, knowledge of current affairs, and proficiency in making plans of Action.
Through Case lets, the conducting body intends to estimate how would aspirants react to or take an action on situations that they’d face in the rapidly evolving Sports Management sector. The test is specially designed for students from any educational and geographical background, who have a keen interest in sports and have a desire to make a career in sports management. This exam is conducted online & candidates will have to come to the allotted test center to appear for the test.
Qualifying marks for all stages:
A candidate needs to score a minimum of 50% in Stage 1 to qualify for Stage 2.
Stage 2 - Panel Interview will be for 120 Marks. The candidate needs to score a minimum of 60% cumulative of Stage 1 & 2 to secure admission at IISM
SMAT 2025 Exam Pattern
SMAT paper consists of 5 sections consisting of 80 questions in total. A candidate is allotted 80 minutes wherein s/he will have to attempt the entire paper of 80 marks.

SMAT 2025 Syllabus

SMAT 2025 Preparation Tips
IISM tries to test a candidate’s aptitude in Mathematics, English, and Logical Reasoning, with a special emphasis on his/her interest in the sports ecosystem. Quantitative Analysis:
