Documents required for SAT registration are essential to provide the necessary documents to ensure proper identification and adherence to test security protocols. The required documents for the SAT exam include a valid passport, an original Aadhar card (for test takers in India), a recent photograph, the SAT admission ticket, and a school ID if valid until December of the current school year. For SAT registration, a valid passport is a primary identification document that must contain the candidate’s photo and original name. In India, test takers can also present their original Aadhar card as valid ID proof. It is important to have a recent photograph that resembles the current appearance and matches the one submitted during SAT registration.

On the day of the exam, candidate must bring the SAT admission ticket, which provides details such as registration information and the assigned SAT test center. Additionally, if applicable, a school ID can be carried if it remains valid until at least December of the current school year. • Candidates need to be easy to recognize.
• There needs to be the only one in the picture.
• There's a head-and-shoulders view, with the entire face, both eyes, and hair clearly visible; head coverings worn for religious purposes are allowed.
• You must be in focus.
• There should not be any dark spots or shadows.

Name Requirement

If in case you need to make a change in your name after registering, you can contact Customer Service at least 30 days prior to your intended test date.

Photos Requirements 

If test center staff cannot sufficiently authenticate your identification from the ID you present in that case you may not be allowed to enter the test center or maybe let alone take the test. Your SAT score may even be withheld or canceled.

ID Requirements Apply All Day 

You need to keep your ID and Admission Ticket with you at all times while at the test center, including during breaks. It may be necessary to show your ID and Admission Ticket and/or to sign a test center log multiple times and at various points throughout the test administration.

If You Do Not Have Acceptable ID 

In case you do not have a SAT verification form of acceptable ID you may be able to use the Student ID Form (pdf/122KB). This form must be prepared and authenticated by the school you currently attend. A current photo must be attached to the form in the area indicated before the form is notarized.

If You Are Waitlisted 

In countries where waitlist status is used, you must present an acceptable school or the government-issued photo ID that has been issued in the country in which you are testing. Foreign passports, foreign national IDs, or IDs from foreign schools will not be accepted.

If You Are 21 or Older 

If you will be 21 or older on test day, the only acceptable SAT student ID form of identification is an official government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, that meets all of the requirements above. Student ID cards are not valid forms of identification for test-takers who are 21 or older.

Testing Outside Your Home Country 

In case you are traveling to another country to take the test, you must carry a valid passport as your ID. The only exception to this policy is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC), which may be used instead of a passport.

Testing in India 

Acceptable forms of identification in India are either a valid passport with your name, photograph, and signature or a valid Aadhaar card with your name and photograph.

Is Passport Required for SAT Exam? 

Often candidates wonder “Do we need passport for SAT exam?” Well, the answer is Yes, to take the SAT test in India, a passport is mandatory. According to the College Board for SAT Testing in India, Ghana, Nepal, Nigeria, and Pakistan – The only acceptable form of identification is a valid passport with your name, photograph, and signature. There are no exceptions to this policy.

For SAT Test takers in India, make sure you register for SAT with the exact name that appears in the Passport.

Important Identification Requirements

Candidate’s registration form name must match the name on the valid ID. If a test-taker makes a mistake when registering, notify the College Board as quickly as possible. There are various more instances in which this problem may arise:

• The registration form cannot accept the candidate’s name because it is too lengthy. If this happens, enter in as much of your name as you can, even if you have to stop with a few characters left. You will be eligible to test as long as the ID matches the component of the name that fits inside the registration form.
• Test-takers are known by their middle name. Whatever the name is, the name on the registration form must match the name on the ID. If it do not input name precisely as it appears on the ID you will bring to the testing centre, he/she will be unable to test.
• Test-takes birth name differs from the name on the ID. In this situation, register using your ID name, even if it differs from the name on your birth certificate. It makes no difference what birth certificate says because it is not a legitimate ID on exam day.

SAT Accommodations Request

Candidate can request SAT accommodation by following the few ways given below:

1. Through School: You need to contact your SSD coordinator for the submission deadlines. You can connect with your SSD coordinator online to fill SAT id form.
2. Filling the Request of Temporary Submission Form: For injury and temporary problems you can postpone your exam date. For that you need to contact your SSD coordinator.
3. Students with Disability: Students who have disability certificate/ document can request for SAT accomodations.
