How to Find a SAT Test Center Near You?

Students can search for available SAT centres through the College Board website or during SAT registration. Centre availability depends on the selected test date and available seats. Students should confirm their assigned centre and address through their College Board account and admission ticket.

1. Using the Test Center Search Tool

1. Go to the official College Board Test Center Search website (Link Here)
2. Select India as the country or region.
3. Pick a specific upcoming test date (e.g., May, June, August 2026, etc.) The tool shows only centers with available seats for that exact date.
4. Search by city (e.g., Kolkata) or postal code.

2. During Registration

During SAT registration, after filling out all the personal and academic details, you will be asked to choose a preferred test date and center.

• Start your SAT registration via your College Board account (create one at satsuite.collegeboard.org if you don’t have one).
• Complete your profile (details must match exactly those on the passport).
• Choose a test date from the official test schedule (Check Here).
• Search and select your test center (as above).
• Upload a photo that meets College Board rules.
• Pay the exam fee.
• Complete exam setup in the Bluebook app.

SAT Test Center: Documents Required

Aspirants may bring only certain items to the exam hall when reporting to the nearest SAT center. Here is a list of documents required for the SAT that candidates must carry to the test centers:

• Printed SAT admission ticket. Students can access it in Bluebook after completing exam setup, 1–5 days before the test. 
• Valid passport or specific Aadhaar formats: the Aadhaar letter in original hard-copy format or Aadhaar PVC card. Screenshots, e-cards, printouts and copies are not accepted.
• Pen, pencil, eraser
• An authorised calculator (must not have “CAS” written on it). 

Note: All these items need to be carried in a transparent pouch. This will make the items perceptible to the invigilator at the SAT center.

SAT Test Centres: Prohibited Items

Here is the list of items that are prohibited at SAT exam centres:

• Phones are prohibited during testing and are collected or stored away by staff.
• Smartwatches, fitness trackers, and other wearable devices are not permitted.
• Students must use an approved testing device. A backup device may be brought, subject to College Board rules.
• Cameras and other photography equipment are also not permitted in SAT exam centres.
• Highlighters and coloured pencils are also not permitted.
• No books or references of any type will be permitted within the SAT exam center's testing area.
• Compasses, rulers, protractors, and cutting tools are all forbidden within a SAT exam centre.
• Earplugs are also not permitted.
• CAS and QWERTY calculators are prohibited. The policy also restricts calculators with certain other features, including wireless connectivity.
• Weapons are prohibited.
