SAT exam fees for India are USD 60 (INR 5237), along with an international regional fee of USD 43 (INR 3753). SAT exam fees levy an internal regional charge if you take the test outside the US. The fee for SAT also includes some additional fees that you need to pay in special circumstances. Some of them are changing the test center, late registration fees, and canceling the exam dates before or after the deadline. SAT Fee Payment Methods

Cash payments are not accepted for the SAT exam. If you choose to pay by check or money order, online registration is not available. The students must register by mail. Minimize SAT Registration Costs

SAT registration and score reporting can be quite expensive. However, with proper planning, you can significantly reduce your overall costs. One of the first steps is to review the required ID documents for the SAT before making any payments.

• Take the Test Early: If you wait too long, you may need to pay a rush order fee of about USD 31 (INR 2710) to ensure your scores reach colleges before their deadlines. To avoid this extra cost, aim to take your final SAT at least 4 weeks before score submission deadlines.
• Register in Advance: Missing the registration deadline means paying a late registration fee. By registering well in advance, you not only save money but also increase your chances of getting your preferred test date.
• Use Free Score Reports: The College Board allows you to send up to 4 score reports for free. Make a list of your preferred colleges ahead of time and take advantage of this option. This strategy could save you up to $48 (INR 4195).

SAT Fees Refund Procedure

SAT fees for the SAT subject test are no longer needed since the test has been discontinued. Before canceling and requesting a refund, you must know the procedures that need to be followed after the SAT cancellation fee:

• SAT Exam Registration fee cannot be refunded later than 5 days before the test day.
• The canceled SAT registrations are partially refunded. You will get USD 10 (INR 875) back if they cancel 5 days before the test day.
• The refunds are processed beginning 6 weeks after the test date.
• SAT Score reports ordered with registration are refundable only if you were absent on test day.
• Also, the additional score reports may be refunded if orders are canceled within 24 hours and have not been processed or sent.
• The rush score reports are not on the refund list.
• In case you do not want to transfer the SAT Subject Tests registration, then you can contact customer service to request a cancellation.

Note: In case you change your mind to take the test after cancellation, you will have to register again.

SAT Exam Fee Waiver

The SAT Fee Waiver program provides 2 free SAT exams and 2 free Answer Services to eligible students. If you qualify, you can take the SAT twice at no cost and also receive additional college application benefits. This initiative is especially helpful for students from low-income families, as it helps reduce the financial strain of standardized testing.

To use the SAT Fee Waiver, enter the 12-digit fee waiver code under the “Got a Fee Waiver Code” section. After signing in, complete the required details and click Submit. If you’ve previously used a fee waiver, taken the PSAT/NMSQT or SAT during a school-administered test day, and accepted the waiver benefits, your available benefits will automatically appear in your account.

SAT Fee Waiver Registration
