PU CET 2027 Scorecard Details

Your PU CET scorecard is your admission identity document — keep it safe until the entire counselling process is over. It records your performance in the entrance test and the merit calculation, and you must produce it (along with your admit card) at the physical counselling session.

As soon as you download your scorecard, cross-check your name, roll number, and category against your admit card. If anything looks wrong, report it to the Panjab University examination office right away — corrections are much harder to process once counselling begins.

PU CET 2027 Qualifying Marks

To be eligible for counselling, you first need to cross the minimum qualifying threshold. This cutoff is based on your raw CET marks only — not the composite merit score. If you score below the threshold, your composite score is not considered for merit list preparation.

Clearing the qualifying cutoff is not the same as getting admission. Once you qualify, your composite merit rank determines where you stand in the queue for a seat — and for competitive programs like B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology or M.Tech CSE, the effective admission rank will be far above the 15% entry bar. Think of the cutoff as a minimum ticket; the composite merit score is what actually matters for course allocation.

For UG eligibility, you also need at least 50% aggregate in Class 12 (45% for SC/ST/BC/PwD). Clearing the CET cutoff but falling short on Class 12 eligibility makes you ineligible for counselling regardless.

Tie-breaking rule (UG): If two candidates share the same composite merit score, the one with a higher CET examination percentage ranks ahead. If that is also equal, higher Class 12 marks decide. If all parameters are identical, the older candidate gets preference.

What After PU CET 2027 Result?

Once the result is out, Panjab University moves quickly toward counselling. The entire post-result process — from merit list to seat allotment — happens within a few weeks. Here is what to expect at each step.

• Tentative merit list: Published about 5–7 days after the result. Check your rank carefully and raise objections within the window provided if you find an error in your score or category.
• Final merit list: Released after the objection window closes. Your rank here determines your counselling slot time.
• Online admission form: Qualified candidates fill an online admission form on the respective portal within the deadline. The counselling fee is approximately ₹2,400 for General and ₹1,200 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
• Physical counselling at PU campus: You must attend in person at Panjab University, Chandigarh, on the date assigned by merit rank. A live seat matrix is displayed; you select an available seat and immediately lock your choice — changes are not allowed after locking.
