KEA has declared the Karnataka PGCET Result 2024 for MTech, MArch, MBA and MBA courses. Candidates can download the subject speicific result through the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Candidates who took the test between August 4 and September 18, can check their Karnataka PGCET 2024 Scorecard using their PGCET number and Date of Birth. Through this exam KEA will offer a total of 2208 Seats across VTU constituent colleges, public univeristies and government engineering colleges. Karnataka PGCET Result 2024: Tie Breaker
In case the marks of two students are the same, KEA would use the following methods to break the tie:
- If two or more students have secured the same marks, then the conducting body will consider Karnataka PGCET inter se merit by referring to the total marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
- When the above methods fail to provide any conclusion, then the candidates' age will be considered. Here the older candidates will be given rank over the younger ones.
- In case the above two criteria do not resolve the tie, the merit list will be determined on the basis of draw of lots.

Karnataka PGCET Merit List 2024
The merit list will be purely based on the marks scored in Karnataka PGCET 2024 Exam. A separate merit list be made for the PGCET for the MBA, MCA, ME/M. Tech, and M. Arch degrees. KEA allows candidates to apply for an engineering degree course in the state of Karnataka on the basis of GATE scores.
Candidates are advised to attend the counselling only if they have the requisite percentage of marks in the qualifying examination. (i.e., should have obtained 50% of aggregate minimum marks taken together in all the subjects for all the years of the Degree examination. 45% of aggregate marks in all the subjects for all the years in the Degree examination in the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST.

Karnataka PGCET Counselling 2024
Karnataka PGCET 2024 Counselling schedule for counselling will be uploaded on the official website of the exam authority. Students short-listed through the merit list must attend the counselling rounds according to this schedule, in order of merit. Karnataka PGCET 2023 Counselling will consist of 5 steps. They are mentioned below-
Online Registration: Aspirants who will qualify Karnataka PGCET 2024 will be eligible for counselling. Candidates will have to report to the closest Helpline Center to register themselves.
Verification of Documents: After registration, aspirants will have to proceed to the verification counter where they will have to submit original along with set photocopies of documents. Once the individual is deemed eligible he will be given a verification slip and a confidential key which will have login details about the online option form.
Filling of Preference Form: Students must login using the details on the high-security key to filling the preference form. KEA will publish a list that will include the number of participating colleges, courses offered and available seats. Candidates can fill the preference form by referring to this list according to the college and course they wish to pursue. They can apply for multiple colleges and courses provided they are eligible for the same.
Seat Allotment: Applicants will be allotted seats as per ranks acquired in Karnataka PGCET 2024, preferences of college and course. The details regarding the procedure of seat allotment will be given in Karnataka PGCET 2024 brochure.
Reporting to the allotted College: Candidates must report to the allotted college for completing all the admission formalities and payment of fees.
