The Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET) is a state-level test conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) for lateral entry admission into the second year (third semester) of B.E./B.Tech and B.Pharm programmes at government, university, and self-financing institutes across West Bengal. JELET 2026 was conducted on June 13, 2026, in offline, OMR-based mode across designated zones, after which the provisional answer key was released on June 24, 2026, and the objection window was closed shortly thereafter. The latest update is that the final answer key and the WB JELET 2026 result have been declared together on July 14, 2026, at wbjeeb.nic.in/jelet.

• Exam Conducted: JELET 2026 was held on June 13, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM, in offline OMR mode across multiple test centres in West Bengal.
• Provisional Answer Key Released: The provisional (model) answer key was published on June 24, 2026. Last year, the JELET 2025 model answer key was released on October 24, 2025, roughly a week after that year's exam.
• Objection Window: Candidates were permitted to raise objections against the provisional key online, along with supporting documents and a fee of Rs 500 per question, with the window closing around June 26, 2026.
• Final Answer Key & Result Declared: The final answer key and the WB JELET 2026 result, along with individual rank cards, have been released on July 14, 2026, at wbjeeb.nic.in/jelet. Candidates can log in with their application number and password (or date of birth) to check their General Merit Rank (GMR), category rank, and subject-wise marks.
• JELET 2026 Counselling: Counselling is expected to begin in the third week of July 2026, comprising online registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting to allotted institutes. Last year, JELET 2025 counselling followed the result declared in November 2025, after an exam held on October 18, 2025.
• Round 1 Seat Allotment: The Round 1 seat allotment result is expected to be released a few days after the choice-locking period is concluded. Last year, the Round 1 allotment for WB JELET 2025 was announced on December 16, 2025.

Here are the detailed instructions for candidates to download WB WBJEE JELET Mop-Up Round Seat Allotment 2025:

1. Open the official WB WBJEE JELET website wbjeeb.nic.in.
2. Find the 'WBJEE JELET' tab under the 'Examinations/E-Counselling 2025' option and select it. A new page will open.
3. Within the "News and Events" section on the new page, find the link for WB WBJEE JELET Round 1 Seat Allotment 2025 and click on it. The login page will appear.
4. Input WBJEE JELET 2025 roll number and password in the designated slots and sign in to the portal. The seat allotment PDF will be accessible.
5. Check name and the allotted college. After confirming, click on 'Download' to save the seat allotment PDF for future reference.

WBJEE JELET 2025 Counselling Process

WBJEE JELET 2025 counselling session commenced on September 6, 2025. Aspirants who secure a rank in the exam can register online on the official website.

WBJEE JELET 2025 Seat Matrix

Seat matrix for the academic session 2025-25 will be declared by the office of The Director of Technical Education, Govt. of W.B. in due course of time and will be published at Board’s web site before counselling. Note that there may be other seats available in some institute/course which are not offered by them through e-counselling and hence will not appear in the seat matrix.

WBJEE JELET 2025 Seat Reservation

• Reservation of Seats will be available for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD/EWS category of candidates as per applicable rule depending upon the type of institute. The OBC-A/OBCB candidates belonging to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) only are eligible for consideration as reserved candidates. OBC-A/OBC-B candidates must produce updated NCL certificate during Counselling/ Admission.
• Such reservation shall be restricted to candidates who are Indian citizen and domiciled in West Bengal.
• Candidates claiming reservation must submit relevant Certificate issued by the competent Authorities as given below.
• Certificates are to be produced for verification by the allotted Institute during counselling, admission etc. If at that time, it is found that any information given by the candidate is/are incorrect or if the candidate is unable to produce certificate/ document/ proof valid as per the then applicable rules as on the date of its verification, his/her information will be corrected/modified accordingly which may even make him/her ineligible for some/all seats/course(s) and the candidate may be reconsidered in next round of counselling (if any).

WBJEE JELET 2025 Seat Reservation for PwD Candidates

• According to Section 2(r) of the RPWD Act, 2016, “persons with benchmark disabilities” means a person with not less than forty percent (40%) of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority
• Accordingly, reservation in PWD seats will be available for the following types of disabilities, percentage of disability being not less than 40%.
  a.Locomotor disability as specified in the Schedule of RPWD Act, 2016
  b. Visual impairment as specified in the Schedule of RPWD Act, 2016.
  c. Hearing impairment as specified in the Schedule of RPWD Act, 2016.
  d. Speech & language disability as specified in the Schedule of RPWD Act, 2016
  e. Intellectual disabilities as specified in the Schedule of RPWD Act, 2016
  f. Mental illness
  g. Disabilities caused due to chronic neurological conditions and blood disorder
  h. Multiple disabilities including deaf blindness
• The “specified disabilities”, which are included in the Schedule of the RPWD Act

WBJEE JELET 2025 Evaluation and Declaration of Result

• Model Answer Keys will be available for a brief period at Board’s website shortly after the examination. Candidates can log in and view the model answer keys
• Candidates can also challenge any answer key on payment of INR 500 per question plus the bank’s service charges, if any. The fee once paid is not refundable under any circumstances
• The Board will review the challenges and publish Final and Frozen Answer Keys. The Board’s decision in this regard will be final and no further communication will be entertained
• Images of OMRs and machine read responses will be available for a brief period in Board’s web site one week (tentatively) after the examination. Any candidate can view the images of his/her OMRs and machine read responses by logging in with his/her password. Candidates should download and preserve copies of their OMRs. However, the duration of preservation of record (s)/ document (s)/ information has been notified and available in the Board’s website
• Any candidate, who is not satisfied with the captured responses may challenge online on payment of INR 500 per question plus bank’s service charges, if any. The fee once paid is not refundable under any circumstances
• The Board will review the challenges and take final decision. The Board’s decision on the challenges will be final and no further communication will be entertained
• Challenges by email, letter, fax, telephone etc. other than through online mode will not be accepted or entertained
• Result will be published in the form of Rank Card, which will contain all relevant ranks, total score, and component scores in respective paper. Candidates can view and download their rank card by logging in with their password. The Board never publishes a rank list to ensure confidentiality to each individual candidate
• Ranks cards with scores will be issued to all candidates, who appears in WBJEE JELET-2025. But all may not be awarded a rank and hence may not be eligible for counseling, for which a cut off rank and/or a cut off score will be decided by the Board
• If any candidate has any grievance about his/her score, he/she may raise a query through email (to info@wbjeeb.in) within 24 hours of declaration of the result attaching copies of OMRs, rank card, question booklet number and its series code, question wise calculation of score. If the candidate wishes to make a physical representation, it is allowed till 12:00 noon on the next working day of result publication. The Board will not entertain any query/grievance thereafter.
• A candidate can calculate his/her score from his/her machine read response and published final answer keys. However, if any candidate needs a calculation sheet from the Board, he/she will have to apply to the Board with a demand draft of Rs. 500/- in favor of ‘West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board’ payable at Kolkata. But this facility will be available only till 60 days after the declaration of result or till the counselling is over, whichever is later
