What is Gujarat NEET Counselling 2027?

Gujarat NEET Counselling 2027 is the official state-level process for admissions to MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH programs in Gujarat. It is conducted by ACPUGMEC (Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses, Gujarat), a body set up by the Government of Gujarat to manage centralised medical admissions across the state.

Eligibility Criteria for Gujarat NEET Counselling 2027

How to Register for Gujarat NEET Counselling 2027

• Step 6 — Choice Filling (Web Options): Log in during the designated choice filling window and select your preferred colleges and courses in order of priority. Fill as many choices as possible to improve your chances.
• Step 7 — Seat Allotment and College Reporting: ACPUGMEC releases the allotment result after choice filling closes. Download your allotment letter, report to the allotted college within the deadline with original documents, and pay the fees to confirm your seat.

The Help Centre visit is mandatory. Candidates who do not physically complete document verification will not be included in the merit list and cannot participate in seat allotment.

Help Centre Document Verification

Document verification at a Help Centre is a compulsory part of Gujarat NEET Counselling 2027 registration. Unlike some other state counselling processes, Gujarat does not offer a fully online or eKYC-based document verification option — every candidate must visit a Help Centre in person.

Gujarat NEET Counselling 2027 Merit List

After the registration and document verification window closes, ACPUGMEC releases a provisional merit list on medadmgujarat.org. This list ranks all registered and verified candidates based on their NEET UG 2027 score and other eligibility factors. The merit list is separate for each category (General, SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, PwD) and for different seat types (state quota, management quota, NRI quota).

How ACPUGMEC Prepares the Merit List

The Gujarat NEET Counselling 2027 merit list is based on:

Choice filling — also called web options — is the step where you select and rank your preferred colleges and courses before each allotment round. This is one of the most important steps in Gujarat NEET Counselling 2027. ACPUGMEC typically keeps the choice filling window open for 3–5 days before each round’s allotment.

How to Fill Choices

• Log in to medadmgujarat.org during the choice filling window using your PIN credentials.
• Browse the available colleges and courses from the seat matrix displayed on the portal.
• Add your preferred colleges and courses to your choices list and rank them — your top preference at rank 1, second preference at rank 2, and so on.
• Save your choices and review them carefully before locking.
• Once you lock your choices, they cannot be changed for that round. The allotment is done strictly based on what you submitted.

How the Allotment Algorithm Works

The allotment algorithm checks your NEET merit rank against your choices in order of preference. It assigns you the highest-ranked choice for which a seat is available in your category at the time your rank is processed. You always get your best available option from what you filled — the algorithm does not assign you any lower preference if a higher one is available.

If you do not report to the allotted college by the deadline, your seat allotment is automatically cancelled. Your security deposit may be partially or fully forfeited depending on the round and reason for non-reporting.

Upgrading Your Seat in Round 2

If you accept a seat in Round 1 but want to try for a better college in Round 2, you can participate in Round 2 with your Round 1 allotment still active. If Round 2 gives you a better college (higher in your preference list), you get that seat and your Round 1 seat is automatically released. If Round 2 does not improve your allotment, you keep your Round 1 seat.
