GLAET 2026, or the GLA University Entrance Test, is conducted by GLA University, Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) for admission to more than 71 undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programmes including B.Tech, MBA, BCA, BBA, B.Pharm, and more. The exam is held in an online Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode with flexible slot booking at more than 60 centres across India, and results are declared within 24 hours of appearing. • Merit List and Counselling: GLA University is expected to release the merit list and begin GLAET 2026 counselling in the second week of July 2026, shortly after the exam window closes. Last year, counselling started within 3 to 5 days of the merit list publication.
• Seat Allotment: Seat allotment for more than 5,000 seats across all programmes is expected in the third or fourth week of July 2026. B.Tech has 14+ specializations including CSE, AI and ML, ECE, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering.

What is GLAET 2026?

GLAET stands for GLA University Entrance Test, named after the Ganeshi Lal Agrawal University — the official full name of GLA University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. It is a university-level entrance exam conducted by GLA University for admission to its undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programmes across campuses in Mathura and Greater Noida. GLA University is NAAC A+ accredited and ranked in the 101-150 band in the NIRF 2025 Overall Rankings. It is also ranked 48th by NIRF in the Pharmacy category and recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

GLAET 2026 is open to candidates applying for more than 71 programmes. Unlike most national entrance exams, GLAET follows a flexible CBT model — candidates register online, book their preferred exam slot and centre, and appear at a time and place that suits them. Results are declared within 24 hours. GLA University also accepts JEE Main scores for B.Tech admissions, so students with a valid JEE Main 2026 score can seek direct admission without appearing in GLAET.

GLAET 2026 Important Dates

GLAET 2026 does not follow a single fixed exam date. It uses a rolling schedule where candidates choose their exam slot from an April-to-July window. Registration opened on January 1, 2026 and is expected to close in early July 2026. As of today (July 2, 2026), the deadline is imminent — check gla.ac.in for the exact final date.

The GLAET 2026 registration window is almost over. If you have not yet applied, visit gla.ac.in right away to check if the form is still active and complete your application before the deadline.

GLAET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

GLAET 2026 eligibility differs by programme. Before applying, check that you meet the academic qualification and minimum marks requirement for your chosen course. Students appearing in Class 12 Board exams in 2026 can apply on a provisional basis — their admission will be confirmed once they submit final marksheets showing the required percentage.

For B.Tech, you must also have passed Class 10 with at least 40% marks from a recognised board. The minimum age for B.Tech and BBA is 16 years as of the year of admission. For B.Pharm, the minimum age requirement is 17 years.

GLA University does not prescribe any maximum age limit for GLAET 2026. Candidates from any state or board can apply — there is no domicile restriction for this university-level exam.

GLAET 2026 Application Process

The GLAET 2026 application is fully online at gla.ac.in. The entire process — from registration to slot booking and admit card download — takes around 15 to 20 minutes if your documents are ready. Here is the step-by-step guide:

• Step 1 — Visit the Official Website: Go to gla.ac.in and click on ’Apply Now’ or the ’Admissions 2026’ link on the homepage.
• Step 2 — Create Your Account: Register using your name, email ID, and mobile number. You will receive your registration number and a system-generated password via SMS and email. Save these — you will need them to log in later.
• Step 3 — Fill the Application Form: Log in with your credentials and fill in your personal details, academic information (board/university name, passing year, marks or expected percentage), and your preferred course.
• Step 4 — Upload Documents: Upload the following files in the specified formats:
  • Passport-size photograph — JPG format, maximum 512 KB
  • Signature — JPG format, maximum 512 KB
  • Aadhaar Card — PDF format, maximum 512 KB
• Step 5 — Pay the Application Fee: Pay INR 1,000 for B.Tech, MBA, BCA, BBA, and B.Pharm. Pay INR 500 for D.Pharm and diploma programmes. Accepted payment methods are credit card, debit card, net banking, and UPI. The fee is non-refundable.

GLAET 2026 Syllabus — English

The English section has 5 questions for 20 marks and covers basic grammar rules, vocabulary, and reading comprehension at the Class 12 level. Common question formats include fill in the blanks, error identification, sentence completion, and short reading passages with questions.

For MBA applicants, the English section in GLAET 2026 is more detailed, covering reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, sentence correction, and verbal reasoning. General Knowledge tests current affairs, static GK, and business awareness. Quantitative Aptitude for MBA covers arithmetic, algebra, data interpretation, and basic statistics.

GLAET 2026 Admit Card

The GLAET 2026 admit card is not released on a single announced date. It is generated automatically and immediately once a candidate completes the exam slot booking during the application process. This is one of the unique features of GLAET — you get your admit card as soon as you confirm your exam date and centre.

To download your GLAET 2026 admit card, log in to your account at gla.ac.in with your registration number and password. The admit card is available in the candidate portal under ’My Applications’ or the ’Admit Card’ section.

Your GLAET 2026 admit card will carry the following information:

• Candidate’s name and registration number
• Exam date, reporting time, and exam start time
• Test centre name and full address
• Programme applied for
• Photograph and signature as uploaded during registration
• Important exam day instructions and rules

You must carry a printed copy of your GLAET 2026 admit card to the test centre. Entry will not be allowed without it. Also carry a valid government-issued photo ID — Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, voter ID, or driving licence. Both documents must be originals.

If there are any errors on your admit card — such as a wrong name, date, or centre — contact the GLA University admissions team at +91-5662-250900 before your exam date. Errors cannot be corrected on exam day itself.

GLAET 2026 Result

GLAET 2026 results are declared on a rolling, per-candidate basis. Unlike national exams that have a single result date for all candidates, GLA University declares each candidate’s result within 24 hours of them appearing in the exam. So if you appeared on June 20, your result would be available on June 21.

To check your GLAET 2026 result, follow these steps:

• Log in with your registration number and password
• Click on ’My Results’ or ’Scorecard’
• Download and save your GLAET 2026 scorecard as a PDF

Your GLAET 2026 scorecard will show your total score, subject-wise marks, and your merit rank. Note that your rank may shift as more candidates appear during the window — the final merit rank is confirmed only after the full exam window closes.

After the exam window closes (expected by early-to-mid July 2026), GLA University will publish a consolidated final merit list for all qualified GLAET 2026 candidates. Counselling will begin shortly after this list is released, expected in the second week of July 2026.

GLA University also accepts JEE Main 2026 scores alongside GLAET scores for B.Tech admissions. If your JEE Main 2026 score is higher than your GLAET score, GLA University will consider the JEE Main score for merit ranking — giving you the benefit of whichever performance is stronger.

Preparation Tips for GLAET 2026

GLAET 2026 is based on Class 11 and 12 NCERT topics, which makes it accessible to students who have covered their board exam syllabus. The questions are generally NCERT-level, not as application-heavy as JEE Main. Here are focused preparation tips for GLAET 2026:

• Start with Your NCERT Books: The GLAET syllabus closely follows NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Revise each chapter and pay attention to in-text examples and end-of-chapter questions. Most GLAET questions are directly traceable to NCERT content.
• Give Maximum Time to Mathematics: Mathematics carries 45 out of 90 questions in B.Tech GLAET — that is half the paper. Spend at least 40 to 45% of your daily study time on Mathematics. Focus on Calculus (Integration and Differentiation), Algebra (Matrices, Determinants, Quadratic Equations), and Coordinate Geometry (Conic Sections, Straight Lines).
• Practice MCQs Every Day: GLAET 2026 is fully MCQ-based. Practising MCQs daily is the best preparation strategy. Try to attempt 30 to 40 MCQs per session from each subject. This also builds speed and helps you get comfortable with the multiple-choice format under a time limit.
• Be Smart with Negative Marking: GLAET 2026 deducts 1 mark for each wrong answer. If you are not sure about a question, skip it rather than guess. Attempting 70 questions with 60 correct and 10 wrong gives you 230 marks (240 minus 10). Attempting all 90 with 60 correct and 30 wrong gives you only 210 marks (240 minus 30). Accuracy beats coverage in GLAET.
• Build a Formula Sheet: Make a single-page formula sheet covering Physics (equations of motion, Ohm’s Law, lens formula, circuit laws), Chemistry (important reactions, solubility rules, organic reaction types), and Mathematics (integration and differentiation formulas, trigonometric identities, determinant properties). • Do Not Skip English: English has only 5 questions but each carries 4 marks — 20 marks in total that are among the easiest in the paper. Students who have appeared in JEE Main 2026 are already well-prepared for GLAET, since both exams cover the same NCERT syllabus. If your JEE Main 2026 percentile is above 70, you are in a strong position for B.Tech CSE or other competitive programmes at GLA University — and you may not need to appear in GLAET at all, since GLA University accepts JEE Main scores directly.
