The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the entrance exam for the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology on 20.04.2025, to permit admission to eligible students in the department of Biotechnology supported post-graduation programme in biotechnology or allied areas in participating Universities.

  • A total of 10,417 candidates have registered for the GAT-B, with 2,408 males and 6,009 females appearing for the exam.
  • The result for GAT-B 2025 was declared on 5 JUNE 2025, on the official NTA website. Candidates can visit the official NTA website for updates.

GAT-B 2025 CUT-OFF:

The category-wise cut-off for GAT-B 2025 has been released, based on the merit list published on June 5, 2025.

•The cutoff for General Category was 127 in 2024 but this year it is 145 due to the increased competition in UR.

• OBC-NCL vs EWS , cutoffs are nearly equal, there is high competition in the following categories.

• The Participating Universities will contact the candidate based on the category cutoff and the Marks scored by the Candidate.

GAT-B Counselling Process:

Stipend and Financial Assistance through GAT-B:

Candidates who get admitted to a DBT-supported post-graduation program through GAT-B 2025 are eligible for monthly stipends.

  • M.Sc. Biotechnology & Allied Areas: ₹5,000 per month
  • M.Sc. Agricultural Biotechnology: ₹7,500 per month
  • M.Tech./M.V.Sc. Programs: ₹12,000 per month
