M.E. Electronics Engineering is a Post Graduate course in engineering with a specialization in the domain of electronics and electrical engineering along with its related aspects. The course is of two years divided into four semesters. A minimum of 55% (relaxable for reserved category candidates) marks at the UG level is the least that almost all the institutes desire from applying candidates (in the form of eligibility criterion).

The fee for the course varies between INR 70,000 to 3, 50,000 in India. The variation in fee is based on the location and nature of university (that is government, state/private/deemed, etc.). Most of the colleges who provide admissions to M.E. Electronics Engineering course through the CET mechanism rely on the score of All India level common entrance exams like GATE, while a select few opt for a separate entrance exam of their own (Like LUPNEST, BITSAT HD, etc.).

Post Graduates in Electronics Engineering have a wide range of job opportunities like hardware engineer, Electrical and Electronics engineer, Product line engineer, Technical writer, Production quality manager, etc. After completion of post graduation, one may pursue further studies like a Ph.D. in the said subject or may take up job opportunities associated. The average salary ranges between INR  16,000 and 20,000 per month for a fresh pass-out.

M.E. Electronics Engineering: What is it about?

The domain of electronics has seen an exponential growth in past few decades. From a select few electronics manufacturers in the past to a number of manufacturing units in present, the industry is experiencing a demand enhancement and is trying to keep up the pace with the advancement in technology.

To make more reliable, technologically advanced, and cost-effective electronics equipment meeting the demand of end consumer, the industry requires a band of the trained professionals who have in-depth knowledge of the subject both academically and practically.

A master’s course in Electronics engineering aims at creating that professional band of the qualified and trained professional who will meet the needs of the industry in the coming time. The course design and structure focuses on imparting theoretical and practical knowledge to the students in a gradual and practice-based manner to the PG students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hikes each year till 3rd year but decreases in the 4th year comparatively. There is a significant hike each year for newer students than their last batch. There are different Scholarships students can apply for. Government scholarships are valid and teachers encourage students to take the scholarships. These will help the students during these 4 years. There are good placement opportunities with the highest packages going up to 10 lakhs per annum. The average placement students get is around 3-4 lakhs per annum. There is a good amount of CS and IT jobs available at campus hence other engineering courses like Mechanical, Electronics, Automobile also has to apply to secure a job. Core jobs are few in these engineering courses which is something students should look out for.

Campus Life

ALEGRIA is the best Annual Fest you can find in Navi Mumbai with the footfall of over 10000 people in 5 days. There is a lot of fun with different activities and competitions in the fest compiled with celebrity judges. It is something every Pillaite loves. There is an avid Sports curriculum if you are into sports with different amenities and a gym to supplement it at no additional cost. There are various technical clubs like IEEE, ETSA, CSI-PCE as well along with social groups like TAPAS, NSS-PCE, and more. The library has a host of books for students so they don't have any issues. The classes are well equipped with all basic amenities to complement learning.

Placement Experience

The Placement & Career Guidance Cell provides special Career Counselling. Any student can contact the Career Guidance Cell to discuss about their field of interest and analyze the possible career prospects. This enables the student in developing his/her career plan. The Placement Cell keeps in constant touch with Industry and other R&D organizations for student projects also. The students of the department are well placed in reputed firms like Infosys,Wipro, Cognizant , Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, CMC, Hitachi Consulting , Redpine Signals, Capgemini, Virtusa, Cyient, IBM, Intergraph, Medha Servo(c). CSC, Genpact, Robert bosch(c), Hyundai R&D(c), Amazon, Aparna Constructions(c), Ashoka Builders(c), L&T Metro(c), BEL about 40% of the students pursue their M.Tech / M.S. courses in India and abroad and about 20% secure jobs on their own within six months of the completion of their course.

Campus Life

Over all I would say its a good college than many other colleges in the state and it would not be wrong if I say it can be better than few other colleges faculty- Ranges from worst to best. I think the latter ones are more most of them are student friendly no one bothers about your low attendance and also its consequences faculty will help as much they can only if the student initiates sports- I have only seen Football , Cricket and sometimes Basketball being played (that to only guyz) whole Year other sports will be played only during the annual sports fest Athlema.
