Pharm D Admission 2025 is mostly based on entrance exams. Some colleges also provide admission based on merit. GPAT, NIPER JEE, MHT CET, TS EAMCET and KCET are some of the top entrance exams for Pharm D admission. Many universities also conduct their own entrance exam for admission like NMIMS NPAT and CUCET.

Registration for GPAT is expected to start in February - March 2025 with the exam being conducted in April 2025. NIPER JEE can be conducted in June 2025. CET Cell, Maharashtra will conduct the MHT CET in April 2025.

To be eligible for admission to Pharm D courses, candidates must have completed their class 12 from a recognised board with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. Pharm D is a 6-year program that includes 5 years of academic study and 1 year of a mandatory internship or residency.

Pharm D Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have passed class 12 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics and Biology.
  • Candidates with a DPharm course from an institute approved by the PCI can also apply.
  • Candidates should be at least 17 years of age at the time of admission.
  • Candidates with a B Pharm course from an institute approved by the PCI can apply for the Pharm D (Post Baccalaureate).

Pharm D Admission Process 2025

Pharm D admission process consists of clearing the entrance exam, registration, document upload and college reporting. Candidates can check the general steps mentioned below.

Step 1: Go to the official website of the exam/college and apply for admission.

Step 2: Register using a valid mobile number and email ID to generate login credentials.

Step 3: Log in using the credentials generated and fill out the application form.

Step 4: Upload all the required documents and pay the application fee.

Step 5: Take a printout of the application form for future reference.

Step 6: Appear in the counselling process of the particular college (if conducted).

Step 7: After seat allotment, report at the allocated college with the necessary documents for verification and admission.

Pharm D Admission 2025: FAQs

Ques. How is Pharm D different from a B Pharm?

Ans. Pharm D is a professional course which is clinically oriented. The course is 6 years long in which you will learn about topics like drug manufacturing, clinical pharmacy and more. Extensive emphasis is given to practical learning. On the other hand, B Pharmacy is a bachelor’s degree. In the 4-year program, you will learn about production, formulation, regulatory affairs and more. After completing the degree, you can explore roles in the pharmaceutical industry and research.

Ques. Can I apply for PhD after Pharm D?

Ans. Pharm D graduates can apply for a PhD course. Admission is based on entrance exams. Candidates have to submit a research proposal followed by an interview. Clinical pharmacy, pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences are some of the top fields to pursue PhD in the pharmacy sector. A PhD can provide Pharm D graduates with better career opportunities.

Ques. Is the entrance exam mandatory for Pharm D admission?
