B.F.Tech. is a course which helps understand the technical aspect of fashion industry while also maintaining a stronghold on the fundamental aspects of fashion. This makes it easier for B.F.Tech. graduates to find employment in various roles in the fashion industry. Description

Assistant Manager (Fashion House)

Fashion Houses employ B.F.Tech. graduates in administrative positions to look after the processing and maintenance of the company’s products. In addition they are also in charge of marketing related activities.

Textile Designer

A Textile Designer is required to study current market trends and develop concepts accordingly. They also prepare sketches and sample material for clients.

Apparel Designer

Apparel Designer conceptualize and create items of clothing. They keep a track of current trends and also invent future trends and create designs, fabrics and patterns.

Retail Merchandiser

A Retail Merchandiser is responsible for retailing of fashion products to the right avenues.

Production Manager

A Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling of manufacturing processes. They are also responsible for maintenance of quality standards in manufacturing.

Fashion Writer

A Fashion Writer remains updated about fashion trends and writes informative, creative and interesting articles addressing the fashion industry. The job of a Fashion Writer also involves including marketing strategies in their writing assignments.

B.F.Tech.: Salary Trends

Ans. Not still placed, I m a first-year student but the college has a good placement record. When I was taking admission I had conversed with many of the seniors and they are quite well placed and the only thing to note is, u might not get an initial high package but you will get exponential growth in your coming years.Read more

Ans. I chose this course because I always had a keen interest in art and creative design. My school art teacher also had a long record of training students for NIFT, as he had helped students to score AIR 1,2,3 many times. Student: faculty ratio is decent, neither too bad nor the best. It's almost around 28-1. Some faculties are very experienced but many are new. I mean they had passed NIFT themselves 5-6 years back and now they are also training students at the institute. I m a first-year student so i haven't appeared for any exam but i must say the curriculum has a very vast number of assignments for the student to complete before they appear for their respective exams.Read more

Ans. Campus placements happen in the last year that is 4 year. There are many companies visits like Tanishq and many more. Usually, the very big company are there. Package offer from 15-45 lakhs and more. 90% placements. After my degree, I would work under some company and would start up my own brand.Read more

Ans. I choosed this course because I had an intrusion towards the design field. There are girls to boy ratio of 5:1. The faculty is very good. The teaching method is very good. They teach in the perfect way. Through zoom meeting we even saw the real raw materials towards design which won't be possible in offline mode. The teachers are well qualified even done courses from abroad. The exams are a little tough. Especially the CAT test which is a drawing test where it judges on the basis of creative thinking.Read more

Ans. The college has good links for apparel retail brands like Arvind fashion ltd , Aditya Birla , apparel group etc . Unfortunately very few get placed for design . But in retail u can opportunity for merchandiser , fashion consultant etc. It will be highly paid internship and u have to go through Gd and PI . The internship will be 2 months long and it will be in the 2 year end. The placements will be in the last semester.Read more
