DAV Centenary College Faridabad Fees & Eligibility
Timing - the timing of college is flexible. It starts from 9 pm . The end depends on your time table.
Fees is low compared to others and scholarship is available for reserved students.
Library is good. You can get any types of book from their related to your course. You can get printed notes from college tooo.
Dislikes
Campus of college is very small. It is even smaller than some of schools. If you love sports then this colleges is not for you. As this college doesn't have any type of ground or even basic infrastructure for sports.
Similiar to school. This college have PTMs and you can not go out of college until 12 PM.
Campus placement aren't great. The most you can get is ₹25k month even if you have skills.
Student view on course curriculum
BCA ( bachaleors in computer applications) is a subject that mainly revolves around IT( information technology ) . The ciriculum is pretty good for students who are interested to work in IT in future. But the curriculum was last updated in 2011 that make it pretty outdated as the filed of information technology is growing and changing everyday. For which a updated curriculum is needed for the students.
The college need to update the course.
A year is divided into 2 semester. One happen in December-january and other in May-june.
The faculty need to focus on practical knowledge. There main focus is mainly on theory.
Placement provided by the college and average package
To become eligible for campus placement. You need to clear all your backlogs to appear for campus placement. The campus placement starts from the 5th semester. Around 20-40% get placed form the college. The average salary is around 25,000 .
I am upgrading my skills as of now. Then I will apply for companies outside campus placements .
Yearly fees structure and scholarship
The fees of BCA is ?40,000 per year. Three year will cost a student around ?120,000 .
If you are not a regular student. The college fines you according to holidays you have taken. Fine can range from ?50 - ?1200.
The scholarship can be claimed by OBC / St SC students .
College placement are not that great . The most you can get is ?250,000 package /yr. So the student need to work on his/her skills to get better job and package outside the campus.
College events and various activities
There are several programmes and events by college. But they are not that big. They are like school events.
College have well maintained labs with internet connection for students to perform practicals whatever they have learned in class.
The college have ncc. Where various student can enroll in.
Overall campus life isn't that great compared to other colleges.
Admission process of the college
The admission were based on your class 12th percentage. If you are native of haryana you get priority in admission than someone who is from outside of the state. And OBC St SC have reservation as usual .
Their website can be improved as it crash often
Campus is small but still it is good. They need to chnage something to attract more students.
This college can be appreciated in many terms as quality teachers, proper infrastructure etc but sometime in summer no proper drinking water shortage occurred.
Dislikes
Campus is small and students are more so it becomes crowdy.
