Life in IHM GWALIOR

Likes

Quality Education & Faculty, Experience faculty with good hand on experience of industry, set example
Always motivate and try to implement learning in actual industry world
Good Infrastructure with high valued Food and Beverage labs

Dislikes

My experience is good with this institute so far
Can be better in placement and overall package offered
Need to work in boys hostel to upgrade rooms and facility

Admission:

Fist of all IHM GWALIOR is also one of among top hospiatlity college around india and many of the colleg allumini is in top hotels and mnc companies make this college popular among studends favourite among them

My IHM days…

Likes

The college professors brings a lot of experience to the students from the industry itself.
The practical labs like kitchens, front office labs, housekeeping labs are good.
Placement cell brings amazing opportunities for the students to grow within or out of the industry by calling other management firms for the recruitment.

Dislikes

Infrastructure of the college is very old.
The course curriculum is very vast which makes it tough to be completed.
Assessment of student during exams or external exam is not upto the mark

Admission:

For IHM colleges, there comes a competitive examination named as NCHMCT-JEE conducted by NTA which allows a student to score well and get into 29 Central institutions of Hotel Management and nearly 70 State Institutions of Hotel Management. I scored well in my competitive examination and during selection process i chose, IHM Hyderabad, IHM Bhopal, IHM Gwalior, IHM Lucknow & IHM Jaipur, these are Central IHM's and i got my spot in IHM Gwalior at first place and i selected it. I didn't apply for any other colleges, so i wasn't rejected from any other colleges.

Likes

Faculties i like bcz all are polite and calm
Faculties provide a lote of information about leaning
Internship bcz ihm gwalior provide internship opportunities to student

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very old and need to be updated
Overall is very good but infrastructure have to be update
Food management in cafeteria , food has wasted

Admission:

Adimission process is like that you have to crack exam which is held through nchmct then you ill be able to apply for ihm gwalior and i didn't choose other bcz of ihm gwalior is a college of central government's college which is very benifical to me and also for tranniess and student

Likes

College staff is too good and their behaviour
Faculty,teacher are very supportive. they teach you very politely every week they held practical for the knowledge of students. Campus is too good. College view is good. Classrooms are big
Principle and head of department are very supportive person

Dislikes

Some rules i dont like. Like cut your hair, clean shave etc
Seniors punish you if you dont cut your hair or clean shave
Hostel mess food is not too good its just ok ok im taste

Admission:

Admission thorough the entrance exam or direct bases First you have to fill the registration form and prepairing for jee exam thorough the jee exam you got the seat. This is first process and the second process is direct admission thorough your 12th percentage

My experience at ihm gwalior.

This college has biggest campus in pan india if we talk about Centra ihms. thats make campus toh have good environment and gives permission to perform all the activities
The facilities and staff are too supportive.
The knowledgeable and experienced staff gives best basic knowledge about the preperation and particular subject.

Dislikes

The building and infrastructure of the college is quite old so its needs renovation.
Internal politics of the faculties sometimes makes students suffer
College need to work upon the coordination amongst the departments so that a smooth flow of the tasks can be carried out and students don't suffer to use the facilities.

Admission:

You should have passed 10+2 with 50 % No age limit You can apply for nchm jee exam on their portal by which you get your rank and through which you can select your collage and hostel. No reservations availed as i was from general category The exam was of 3 hours have moderate to tough difficulty level. The exam should have to be more focused about the particular industry ( specifically on hospitality industry)

Campus : brilliant campus with 2 largest land area among other ihm's
Placement: it is brilliant companies like taj ,oberoi ,lemon tree offeres HOT and MT. Program
Faculty: faculty is cooperative in nature they always suggest you different things for your personal improvement.

Admission:

Admission process was quite simple you can take admitted in the course by applying for the nchmct jee exam under JNU. It happens one time in year and the criteria is 60%in class 12th. There was reserved seats for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PWD.

First of all the discipline and the professional behaviour in the environment of IHMs it enhances your personality to be a better version of yourself. It also improves your behaviour skills that is the way you eat the way you sit you react in circums
Second is the study atmosphere which is there in the IHMs which is done in a manner in which a student never feel monotonous and learning becomes joyful And the practical skills make you more passionate about you studies because in hotel industry
Third is the exposure of the hotel industry which a student faces in their industrial training where the real case scenario is being faced by hospitality students which helps them to decide their area of interest and also gives them some amount of ex

Admission:

Gave the nchmct jee by filling the form. Cut off is as per the category in which you lie, example obc, general, sc, St or any other cut off for the general is very high as compared to the other categories. The notification of the application is shown in nchmct website or in the nta website

Internship opportunity is very good

Admission:

The student must have obtained 50% or more percentage in 10th & 12th exams. So we are eligible for applying NCHMCT exam. The candidate must have a ranking under 5000 in NCHMCT to be eligible to get admission to IHM Gwalior. There are 3 rounds of counseling the student can take admission in the round respective of their rank.

My life in an hotel industry

Admission:

I applied for IHM Goa and Pusa but my rank was not up to the mark. Then I got into IHM Gwalior. I've got 4832 ranks in all India exams of NCHMCT. I always wanted to do hotel management as i was always having a keen interest in hotel industry. I lucky enough to get admission to IHM Gwalior. As I was planning for hotel management, my family and friends were supporting me to at every moment. I was a little worried when I gave the entrance exam but eventually ended up being super proud of myself for scoring more than I expected. I would like to suggest everyone choose the hotel industry as their career.

NIKHIL NAAGAR's Review On Institute Of Hotel Management - [IHM], Gwalior

Admission:

As it's a professional college so, the plus point of doing the professional course is that you have more chances to get a placement at the end of your graduation. Honestly, I'm not good at studies at all I'm just an average type of student. So, after my 12th I choose to give my entrance of NCHM JEE in which I got satisfactory rank. Through my rank, I got college IHM Gwalior. Faculties are less in our college as compare to other IHM's. College can take mass no. of intakes every year, Students are from different states so many cultural festivals of different states are also celebrate there. But there is a huge shortage of faculties in terms of students. The placement cell is not so good. Before the pandemic, more retail companies are visited our college but they hired only 4-5 students. Minimum hotels are visited in our college for campus placement & they also fail to provide satisfactory job n package as well. Discipline is well maintained in our college but the diploma students are belligerent
