IHM Gwalior is an Institute of Hotel Management studies that ought to provide students with great career opportunities in the field of catering, management and hospitality. The Institution was first established as a Food Craft Institute in 1987, later which was upgraded to Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Gwalior in 1992.

Candidates can apply for the course through offline mode.

The Institute of Hotel Management, Gwalior offers B.Sc program in Hospitality & Hotel Administration for three years for which the aspirants are required to have a 10+2 or Senior Secondary qualification from any recognised board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Eligibility Criteria

The basic eligibility to get through B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is to have a higher secondary passing certificate. The minimum marks required are 50% in aggregate. The aspirants are required to have English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in their last qualifying exam.

Selection Process

Those who wish to take admission in B.Sc Hospitality and HHotel Management must appear for the NCHMCT-JEE exam conducted by NCHMCT to get admitted to the institution. Those who appear in the merit list will be called for further admission process.

IHM Gwalior Admissions Diploma 2024

IHM Gwalior also offers Diploma course in Food Production for a year and a half in which the last 6 months is for the purpose of training. Candidates are required to have a minimum qualification of 10+2 pass and they need to sit for a written test followed by an interview.

Candidates must have a 10+2 passing certificate
The age of the candidates cannot be more than 22 years as on 1st July of every academic year. For the reserved classes such as SC/ST the upper age limit is 25 years as on 1st July of every academic year.

Selection Process

The selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of a written test. Those who qualify in the written test will be called for an interview process for further selection.

IHM Gwalior Admissions: How to Apply?

Admission to the B.Sc program is purely based on the rules of the governing body, i.e. the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). Candidates need to sit for an entrance exam (NCHMCT-JEE) followed by a counselling session if selected, where they will be allotted with colleges on the basis of merit-cum-choice.

To fill up the application for NCHMCT-JEE, the candidates need to follow the following steps:

Candidates first need to visit the official website of NCHMCT (www.nchmct.org) to register for the entrance.
Then they need to fill up the required details. Once registered, an application number with a password will be generated.
Login to the account using the application number and password.
Then they are required to fill up the form with necessary details and scanned images of their signature and a formal passport size photograph. All the scanned images should be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format.
Pay the application fee online INR 900 (INR 800 for EWS and INR 450 ftor SC/ST/ PWD/ Transgender) using Debit card/Credit card/ Net Banking to complete the process.
After completing the process, download the form and get a print-out of it.

To apply for Diploma Course, candidates must follow the process given below:

Visit the official website of the Institute (http://www.ihmgwalior.net/) .
Download the application form and fill it up with necessary details.
Pay the application fee of INR 500 (INR 250 for SC/ST) online through Debit/Credit card or Net Banking.
Submit the duly filled up form with attested copies of the documents mentioned below in the office and avail the prospectus. The required documents are:

10th and 12th marksheet
Migration Certificate
Character Certificate
Caste Certificate (if required)
Two formal passport size photographs
Medical Certificate from a registered medical practitioner.

My IHM days…

Admission:

For IHM colleges, there comes a competitive examination named as NCHMCT-JEE conducted by NTA which allows a student to score well and get into 29 Central institutions of Hotel Management and nearly 70 State Institutions of Hotel Management. I scored well in my competitive examination and during selection process i chose, IHM Hyderabad, IHM Bhopal, IHM Gwalior, IHM Lucknow & IHM Jaipur, these are Central IHM's and i got my spot in IHM Gwalior at first place and i selected it. I didn't apply for any other colleges, so i wasn't rejected from any other colleges.

Admission:

Admission thorough the entrance exam or direct bases First you have to fill the registration form and prepairing for jee exam thorough the jee exam you got the seat. This is first process and the second process is direct admission thorough your 12th percentage

I applied for IHM Goa and Pusa but my rank was not up to the mark. Then I got into IHM Gwalior. I've got 4832 ranks in all India exams of NCHMCT. I always wanted to do hotel management as i was always having a keen interest in hotel industry. I lucky enough to get admission to IHM Gwalior. As I was planning for hotel management, my family and friends were supporting me to at every moment. I was a little worried when I gave the entrance exam but eventually ended up being super proud of myself for scoring more than I expected. I would like to suggest everyone choose the hotel industry as their career.

Admission:

As it's a professional college so, the plus point of doing the professional course is that you have more chances to get a placement at the end of your graduation. Honestly, I'm not good at studies at all I'm just an average type of student. So, after my 12th I choose to give my entrance of NCHM JEE in which I got satisfactory rank. Through my rank, I got college IHM Gwalior. Faculties are less in our college as compare to other IHM's. College can take mass no. of intakes every year, Students are from different states so many cultural festivals of different states are also celebrate there. But there is a huge shortage of faculties in terms of students. The placement cell is not so good. Before the pandemic, more retail companies are visited our college but they hired only 4-5 students. Minimum hotels are visited in our college for campus placement & they also fail to provide satisfactory job n package as well. Discipline is well maintained in our college but the diploma students are belligerent
