A review of HIDS

Likes

The campus is very huge and also their is separate sports facilities
Hostel are within in campus which provide ease to access the lectures
The teaching staff is also helpful always pay their 100% in teaching

Dislikes

No such issues I face as it has been 2 years to me live here

This college is affiliated to amru university which is government and all the exam are planned by them only our college can suggest regarding changes in date but it haven't happened before that exams were taken before or early

the truth behind the college

Likes

supporting teachers, the teachers are very supporting
sports friendly campus, the campus is very familiar with sports
indoor games are also given chance and importance in our campus

Dislikes

holiday programs :- the holiday program is very conservative
internal exams :- there is very strictness towards exams
absenteeism is charged with fine. there is fine per class charged for remaining absent

Placement Experience:

there are placements mostly in our college only. there are no external placements offered. no company comes forward for the placement. the college has its own hospital where placements are given to students. percentage of students getting placement is completely students choice. my plan after degree is to apply for neet pg and do mds and setup my own clinic

Likes

The campus is very homely. Lushious with a lot of flowers.
The staff is dedicated toward makinh children learn the craft of the subject
The sports and annuals organised are fun.

Dislikes

The infrastructure can be improved as the college is old
The area of college is comparitively small
There is only a bus stand in the locality no railway staion or cab faciltity

Course Curriculum Overview:

Dentistry is an actually fun field if you have an artistic hand, it is like a combination of medicine and engineering. teachers are well-qualified phd graduates in the college and very helpful. the student to teacher ratio is good.

Remarks:

The reason I chose this college: it is one of the best and oldest dental college in Himachal Pradesh,has excellent staff, infrastructure,ground, dental chairs. They teach academic as well as clinical concepts very well.
