MICA - The School Of Ideas

Likes

The quality of the visiting faculty is amazing. People leading the industry come to teach
The students are trusted here and are let live. The college thrives on collaboration
The mess is really nice and the food is comparatively healthy and tasts better than any other mess I've eaten at

Dislikes

The curriculum can get a bit repetitive.
The hostels need to be renovated because their condition is not up to the mark
The surrounding area of the college is developing and it can get a bit scary if you are out of college at night

Internships Opportunities:

There are multiple internships and love projects offered to students. 100% placements are provided. I did my summer internship in IndiGo airlines with the marketing team. The project revolved around mrand strategy and the nofilter by indigo campaign.

Internships Opportunities:

I worked as a Sales and Marketing Intern in one of the country's leading outdoor advertising agencies. The stipend offered was decent, with a great work culture. The work was relevant to the topics taught in the college. Leading companies and brands visited the campus for placements.

Internships Opportunities:

Disney, ITC, HUL, Google, P & G are few comonaies that visit. They offered packages ranging from 25K to 2,25L per Month. Most of the selection process involved multiple rounds of interviews and GD. Most of them were selected for their company's respective summer internship programs(ITC Kite, Disney Star Program etc..)

We are required to participate in a two-month summer internship programme. We acquire the greatest internships, and many of our students earn PPOs. This is an added advantage for final placements. Internships are available from companies such as Nelson, Accenture, Deloitte, and others. The average stipend is around Rs 80,000-85,000, while the highest stipend can be even 3,00,000 Rs.

Internships Opportunities:

Top brands like Google, Hindustan Unilever, Procter & Gambel, Sony Entertainment, etc. offer internships at MICA. the highest stipend on offer was 3.2 lacks for 2 months. The average stood at around 85-90 thousand. Although, top internships are given to only the top 10% of the batch. Rest have to settle for lower stipend amounts. Although the job roles in most internships are very niche, they are limited mostly to niche areas of marketing only.

Internship opportunities are available on campus at MICA. I was placed at PUMA India Pvt Ltd and I was compensated at 1L for the two months. Students placed at HUL and Loreal were given about 3.2L for the same duration. My project was surrounded around the social media marketing team especially Instagram. The result was that I helped my team reach their goal of 700k followers on Instagram by the end of Dec 2020.
