MICA Admission 2027 is run entirely in-house. The institute admits through its own entrance test and selection rounds. Every programme sits under one of two schools. Each sets its own paper.
MICA admission follows a single-window, multi-stage merit model. The two-year management programmes need a national exam score as well. The one-year and doctoral programmes do not.
- PGDM-C and PGDM: The 2026-28 cycle is over. MICA has not released the MICAT 2027 notification yet. MICAT I registration is expected by September 2026 (Tentative).
- PGCM-AMC and PGCM-DMMC: Applications expected September 2026 to January 2027 (Tentative).

MICA PGDM Eligibility Criteria 2027
The academic bar is the same for PGDM-C and PGDM. The entrance requirement is what sets them apart from MICA's other programmes.

Important highlights and notes:
- Taking CAT, XAT or GMAT is mandatory. Any one of the three works.
- GMAT scores from 2024 onwards were accepted in the last cycle.
- Final-year students may apply. They must submit a certificate from their head of institution.

- Missing that deadline cancels the provisional admission automatically.
- All grades must be converted to a percentage. With no conversion factor, multiply CGPA by 10.

MICA PGDM Selection Criteria 2027
MICA builds the final merit list through a four-step filter. Each step is a gate. You do not move ahead unless you clear it.
- Step 1: Section A of MICAT, the psychometric test, is checked first.
- Step 2: Your CAT, XAT or GMAT performance is compared next. A minimum cut-off applies.
- Step 3: MICAT Section C, the aptitude test, is assessed next. Scores are normalised.
- Step 4: Only then is Section B, the descriptive test, evaluated.
- Clearing all four steps earns a Group Exercise and Personal Interview shortlist.
- At the interview, a majority of panellists must recommend you. Otherwise you are out.
MICAT for the School of Management carries three sections. Section C alone has four sub-sections. This is the widest MICAT paper at MICA.

- MICA does not publish a fixed CAT or XAT percentile cut-off.
- The official rule states only that a minimum cut-off applies each year.
- Section C and Section B both carry sectional cut-offs. These apply on percentile and raw scores.
- QADI cut-offs may be higher for PGDM than PGDM-C. PGDM leans more on analytics.
- The best of your three exam scores is the one considered.

As per the Quora Discussion, MICAT Section A cannot be gamed. It is a pure pass-or-fail gate. Students advise honest, consistent answers and a close watch on time. High CAT scorers have reportedly missed calls after slipping here.
How to Apply for MICA PGDM 2027?
The MICAT form and the MICA admission form are the same application. There is no separate institute form after the exam.
- Register on the MICA admissions portal at mica.ac.in.
- Fill in personal, academic and contact details. Upload your photograph and signature.
- Select PGDM-C, PGDM or both. Pick your MICAT city preferences.
- Enter your CAT, XAT or GMAT details. For XAT, enter only the registration number.

These are MICA's one-year residential certificate programmes. Both sit under the School of Applied Creativity. They were earlier known as CCC and CCE.

- The family income ceiling is INR 10 lakh per annum.
- Income tax returns and bank statements are verified for three years.
