Government Institute of Medical Sciences, or GIMS, offers various kinds of courses under UG, PG, Doctorate, and Diploma programmes. The admission for the 2025-26 academic session is now open. A total of 22 courses are offered at this college. Under the UG level, the college provides admission to MBBS, Nursing, and Paramedical. At the PG level, the college provides students with M.D/MS courses. Not only this, GIMS also offers Doctorate programs like DNB and Diploma in Lab Technician, Radiology, etc. To get selected, the candidates have to secure a valid score on the respective entrance exam.
GIMS offers B.Sc (Nursing) and MBBS as its flagship programs. Apart from that, the college offers MD courses as well. For B.Sc Nursing, students have to pass the CNET examination, which is conducted by ABVMU. Students seeking admission for MBBS must qualify class 12 exam and score at least 50% in PCB subjects. The admission is based on the score obtained in NEET-UG, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). For postgraduate programs, the candidates have to sit for the NEET-PG exam.
