Candidates who wish to apply should have passed their SSLC examination of the board of Secondary Education of Tamil Nadu or any other Secondary School Certificate which is considered equivalent. 

Candidates who wish to procure lateral-entry in the second year should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate examination with mathematics as a major subject.

Hostel: 

There are separate hostels for men and women. Each hostel has its own dining room and an independent kitchen. One room is shared among four students.
