Review for Government Polytechnic, Pune. The dream college for all Punekars.

Likes

The GPP is an Autonomous college. Due to it they have their own curriculum which is industry ready. The practicals are done time to time regularly. The overall syllabus is vast but covers all the important topics needed for higher education.
The faculty is another strength of GPP. All the teachers have at least completed Masters degree. Most of them have even completed Phd. In their specific subjects. And to add more to it they have a high experience in teaching.At least 10 to 15 years.
There are 8 labs reserved for just the Computer Department, each consisting of 50 conputers. That makes a total of 400 computers. The practicals makes the learning process more efficient and fun.

Dislikes

Some parts of the Campus are just left to decay and sometimes some drainages are left open which causes of bad odour. Also some places have shards of tiles everywhere. They are being repaired but still some are not attended.
Some toilets are broken and unclean. But it is not completely the faculty's mistake but also the responsibility of students. It should be changed
The college has most of the students from out of town and also teaching is in marathi which posed a little bit difficulties for me as I had taken my previous education in English. Also some students are using bad language and abusing which is bad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after the 4th sem. Many companies visit and at least one person is hired by every company. Companies from UAE and international companies also make offers. Highest package was 9 lpa and average is 3.5-4 lpa. Only 5-10% students go for a job, others go for higher studies. I am too looking for a part time job with continuing higher studies. Overall the campus placement is good for students looking for a good job and pay. Most get hired as Assistant engineers.

BEST ENGINEERING COLLEGE AFTER 10TH

Likes

things i liked about the college were the campus and canteen
also the fests and events happening every now and then
the amount of work load is minimum and not much

Dislikes

i did not like the timing of the college
i did not like the way of teaching the students
i did not like the partiality in the college about students by teachers

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is great and got influenced for a high paying job in future the curriculum prepares well for real world application teaching can be improved with the help of trips and visits timing of exams are quite flexible as u get enough time to study and exams difficulty depends on the course taken

Sone teacher are good and some are very bad at teaching

Dislikes

Some time teacher's will leave last 2-3 chapter for students to do on there own

Placements were great form the college every major company in pune would come in the college every 6 semester to take interview of the student who are interested and the packages were from 3lak to 4.5 lak annual

Government polytechnic Pune, little hypyed college

Likes

The staff has great knowledge about things
As an automous college our curriculum is upto date
Papers are taken seriously and no re test are taken

Dislikes

No sports staff,very poor facilities for sports
Staff is not that willing to share the knowledge they have
Staff may cut your internal marks if you are not good with them

Placement Experience:

College placement are there but low like combining all departments 69 people were selected in companies like TCS,ibm and many more.most of students don't go for job after diploma so that is not taken much seriously in my college

The college to be selected for diploma engineering.

Likes

The faculties are well trained and very kind.
The labs are fully upgraded to the newest technologies.
There are smart classrooms and e learning facilities.

Dislikes

Un cleaned washroom and toilets and untidy too.
The students behaviour is not better among the seniors.
There water shortage s in most of the washroom.

Placement Experience:

Our college Provide better place which includes the most known companies such as TCS , Tata Power, Forbes Marshal, Infosys india pvt LTD, Atlas copco, Cummins generators, and many more our college aslo provide some of the placements in dubai.

College campus is extremely beautiful. If you're going for diploma after 10th then this is the best college to boost your carrier.
This college provides us a supportive staff, they took care of each and every student.
Teaching level is very high. They are really the best teachers in pune.

Dislikes

Xerox centre don't know but I just don't liked it.
Canteen is too boring. I don't liked it.
Area. College area is in the city. Too much crowdy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In government polytechnic pune the level of teaching is very high. I took this course beacause it's curriculum the curriculum is based on the industry need. What we are going to do in real world after the college, college teach us in the college. The theory lectures are good but they have to improve in practicals. Course curriculum is the best don't need to improve its already the bestest. They provide us enough time in exam.

The experienced staff provides good leatning experience and practical education has been a thing of emphasis in the institute

The canteen and other facilities could be more better

Placement Experience:

Companies like Tata, Birla, Ashok Leyland and many more companies offer seats to students passing out from the college. A highest package of 9 lpa and a minimum package of 3lpa are secured by students lately. Students having about 90% have been employed and during their 6th semester. My plans after getting a degree is to do masters in a foreign university.

Infrastructure facilities are good and easily available
Every branch is having separate building.
Books are available easily in library for study

Dislikes

Some times water is not available in summer
Cut off is very high if you are average student then it might be difficult to get admission

Placement Experience:

So students became eligible for placement offers in the 5th semester and gigantic companies like L&T construction, Tata Project Limited, Tata Steel, Tata Power, and Cummins limited. This year there are 56 students who got placed in various companies

Facilities are supportive and experienced
All branches have separate department i.e. good
Placement is very good here in reputed companies.

Dislikes

Hyginic is not maintained as it should be.
Written work is too much that is end semester submission

Placement Experience:

I just got placed in L and T construction as a DET i.e. Diploma Engineer Trainee. My package is around 2.96 lakhs ctc. Companies have criteria that there should not be any backlogs and your all-semester average should be more than 60%
