SET Registration & Payment	Register for the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) via set‑test.org. Pay non-refundable SET fee (₹2,250) and pay the programme registration fee at SCMC (₹1,000 per programme) (scmc.edu.in)
Programme Selection	In SET application, choose "General (SET‑General)" session.  Select SCMC under the Institute section and choose desired programmes: - B.A. (Mass Communication – Honours / Honours with Research) - B.B.A. (Media Management – Honours / Honours with Research)
Appear for SET Exam	Sit for the SET objective written test at centers across India. Exam duration is typically 1 hour.
Personal Interaction (PI)	After qualifying SET, attend an online Personal Interaction for each programme applied. Documents and eligibility are verified during PI. Mandatory attendance; absence in any PI component makes candidate ineligible.
Shortlisting & Merit List	Shortlisted candidates are evaluated based on SET + PI. Merit lists are released thereafter (First Merit List followed by a Second, if applicable).
Fee Payment & Admissions Confirmation	Candidates in the First Merit List must pay programme fees by the specified deadline (e.g., July 1, 2025 for 2025 entry).  Admission is confirmed only after payment and document verification.
Programme Commencement	B.A. & B.B.A. programmes typically begin mid‑July (e.g., July 17, 2025), followed by orientation (e.g., July 19, 2025).

For Bachelor of Arts, candidates who have scored minimum 50 % marks (45% for SC/ST) in any discipline from any recognized board / Council / University, are eligible to seek admission. SCMC has an annual intake of 120 students.

 Reservation of Seats is as follows: 

Within the sanctioned Intake –

• Scheduled Caste - 15%
• Scheduled Tribe - 7.5%
• Differently-abled - 3%

Over and above the sanctioned Intake: –

• Kashmiri Migrant - 2 seats

SCMC Pune BA(Hons.) / BBA (Hons.) Criteria

Candidates have to appear for SET during the first round of the selection process

• After the first-round candidates are shortlisted on the basis of SET scores and shortlisted candidates are called to the campus
• SET contains 5 sections i.e. English, Quantitative, General Awareness, Analytical and Logical Reasoning and Written Ability Test. The test is of 120 minutes (90 minutes for MCQ followed by 30 minutes for WAT)
• For the second round, candidates have to appear for an assessment consisting of a test of writing abilities, personal interaction, studio test and document verification
• The assessment is of 3-4 hours
