MRU BBA LLB FAQs
Ques. Does MRU accept CLAT scores for BBA LLB admission, and what is the process if I have already appeared in CLAT 2026?
Ans. Yes, Manav Rachna University accepts valid CLAT scores for admission to the BBA LLB (Hons.) programme. If you have appeared in CLAT 2026 (held on December 7, 2025), you can directly apply to MRU by submitting your CLAT scorecard along with the online application form. MRU is not part of the CLAT centralised NLU counselling process, so you do not need to go through the Consortium of NLUs counselling to secure a seat at MRU. Offers of admission for CLAT score holders are sent from January 25, 2026 onwards. This makes MRU a strong option for students who have a decent CLAT score but may not secure a seat at an NLU through centralised counselling.

Ques. Is the BBA LLB (Hons.) at MRU a full-time on-campus programme, and what is the daily schedule like?
Ans. Yes, the BBA LLB (Hons.) at Manav Rachna University is a full-time, on-campus programme. Students are required to attend regular classes at the Faridabad campus (Sector 43, Aravalli Hills). The programme follows a semester system with 10 semesters over 5 years. In addition to classroom lectures, students are required to participate in moot court exercises, legal drafting workshops, client counselling sessions, and mandatory internships at the end of each academic year. The minimum attendance requirement is 85% in all courses for scholarship continuation, and the university follows a structured academic calendar with classes commencing in July each year.
Ques. What are the internship opportunities during the BBA LLB programme, and are they mandatory?
Ans. Internships are a mandatory and integral part of the BBA LLB (Hons.) programme at MRU. Students are required to complete internships at the end of each academic year, and their performance is assessed through an Internship Viva conducted in semesters 3, 5, 7, and 9. Internship placements are facilitated at district and high courts, law firms and advocates' chambers, corporate legal departments, NGOs, public organisations, and government bodies and tribunals. The university's Department of Training and Placements actively coordinates these internship opportunities. Students who perform well during internships often receive pre-placement offers from the organisations they intern with.
Ques. What specialisations are available in BBA LLB (Hons.) at MRU, and when do students choose them?
Ans. The BBA LLB (Hons.) programme at MRU offers three specialisations: Corporate Law, Business Law, and Intellectual Property Rights Law. Students typically choose their specialisation in the latter half of the programme (from the 6th semester onwards), where elective and honours papers are aligned with the chosen specialisation. Corporate Law prepares students for roles in law firms, MNCs, and financial institutions. Business Law focuses on commercial transactions and legal consultancy for businesses. IPR Law covers patents, trademarks, copyrights, and design law, and is ideal for careers in media, entertainment, technology, and innovation sectors. Students can customise their electives and honours papers based on their career aspirations.
Ques. How does the MRNAT scholarship work, and can a student who scores well in MRNAT get a significant fee reduction?
Ans. MRNAT (Manav Rachna National Aptitude Test) is both an entrance and scholarship test. Students who score 90% or above in MRNAT are eligible for a 100% tuition fee waiver under the Utkarsh scheme (if admitted between January 25 and May 15, 2026) or the Uttam scheme (if admitted between May 16 and June 30, 2026). A score of 80% to below 90% fetches a 50% waiver under Utkarsh or 25% under Uttam. A score of 70% to below 80% gives a 25% waiver under Utkarsh or 15% under Uttam. This means a student scoring 90%+ in MRNAT and taking admission early can effectively reduce the annual tuition fee from Rs. 77,000 to zero, significantly lowering the overall cost of the programme. The scholarship applies only to the tuition fee component and not to development, university, or student resource fees. Continuation of the scholarship requires maintaining a minimum SGPA of 7.5 and 85% attendance each semester.
