Non autonomous institution which sometime don't is not good for students

I choosed this college on the basis of placement graph which is going up only from the time it is started and also its an government aided institute that why it's the main reason to choose. And also everyother college in nagpur have huge amount of fee there this college is best in the fee

I didn't apply any other college than this because it is very close to my hometown and have facilities to get good education and more importantly it's a government institute so everybody love to get educated from it

What one should know before taking admission in Government College of Engineering Nagpur

First thing I like about my college is that admission process it is based on merit system and it is not based on like donation or giving extra money for admission it is just completely based on her merit and how hard strength have worked for it
Second thing is about ratio of placement of our college if a student maintain his pointer good and keeps all his same paper clear also doing one or two internship he will definitely get replacement
Third thing is about small but good fest which happens occasionally giving us essence that we are in our college life

Dislikes

The campus of our college is smallest compared to other college
Connectivity issue is one of the major issue I think because the metro station is very far from our college and also city bus is come only twice a day that to at extreme time
Place of a colleges surrounded in a outside Nagpur city like very outside also as connectivity choose there the particular student who stays in hostel or nearby areas have not exposure to the city more than those students who come from City.

Admission:

The first and foremost thing for choosing this college then other over call is like many students like me who belongs to middle class cannot give 1 to 2 lacks per year for private college so choosing this government college is good in terms of financial. Second thing is that it gives us a tag of that we are graduated from Government and if in a future any one of us want to apply for government job it will help us getting the job bit more than others. The admission process of my college it is completely based on your marks in CET exam. The percentile a student got and then he is rank according to his percentile. Then the college will display a minute merit list according to the percentiles and cutoff of the respective branch. If a student have particular percentile which feet into cut off office branch is required branch he will be able to get that branch easily also if he comes under category like OBC your SCST he will he will have benefit of reservation and will you able to get his required branch.

Low compitition of students in terms of placement
Higher chances of opportunities of getting patients
Good facility of classes and good quality teachers

Dislikes

Very small campus area.the campus is of only 14 acers
Area of the college which is very outside from the city at very low fascinating area
The very important thing which I personally not like is 75 percentage criteria for exam eligibility

Admission:

Personally I chose this college because of less fees and higher level of education quality and also for the government tag.and also my hometown is also pretty closer to college that's why I choose this college.and admission process of this college is very simple you have apply for cap round and on the merit score basis you got the selection done.

The sports fest is good it lasts for 10 days
The cultural fest is okayish and uh nothing fancy happens

Dislikes

The college campus is probably the worst
The teaching staff is rude and isn't up to the point
The principal and staff and everything about this college actually sucks

Admission:

Admission process was easy we only needed to submit some documents after the MHTCET state level entrance exam the staff is friendly during admission (ofcourse) but after admission it's the worst and you probably never wanna talk to them again

the placements are quite good for cs and it branch otherwise it is not good for other branches
Campus is good and the teacher staff if helpfull
Hostel facility is also available and the mess is quite good

Dislikes

Placements are not that much good for every branch
The package offered by companies is very low
The hostell intake is very less which is very the thing I don't liked

Admission:

The canteen of the college have to be improved and the teaching skills also has to be improved. The campus is also not that nice so I also think it has to be improved. Other things are okay acoording to me

supportive staff and faculty(ofcourse some exeptions)

average infrastructure but acceptable taking in account the fees
hostels could be renovated for better living of students
campus size is average but its filled with trees soo a nice environment

Admission:

The cutoff for my particular branch through mhtcet was 70%tile ig i got 83%tile and got in easily The admission process is straightforward, you just have to go there and submit all the necessary documents You can also change your branch after 1st year based on ur score and the vacancy available.

As compared to other college campus is small and given less internal mark and we have to do hard work for internal marks .... And have small classes as well and small auditorium.... As compared to other clg sports facilities are also less

Through mhtcet admission process we get admission in this college where cutoff is ranging with branch to branch whereas for computer science cutoff is high and civil it is low compitition is very much for cse department

My life at Government College of Engineering

Likes

College Environment, Placement opportunities and avg package is also good for all branches which is 6 lacs per annum.
The teaching method is good teachers have knowledge in their respective domain.

Dislikes

Campus area is small and the practical knowledge lack little bit here but still they teach the course which may lead you to lucrative career in future
Respective labs for branches are less and a small auditorium.

Admission:

The addmission process is smooth till you have respective documents needed for the addmission. The cutoff is going high every year and their is reservation benifits which could be available only if they have proof. 3 CTs are conducted for every semester session.

Almost Good college at low fees

Fees Structure: fees is very less as compared to other colleges. It offords good opportunities in less fees .
Hostel: Hostel is allotted to students on the basis of results. It has very affordable fees 5000 per year. Mess fee should have to fee
Faculty: Faculties are good as compared to other government colleges in Maharashtra.

Dislikes

Campus: Campus is in very small area. Not so good infrastructure.
Location: College is located outside of Nagpur city , at the place known as Khapri. Khapri is like a small town.
Labs: Practical labs are not so advanced.

Admission:

Admission is done through the exam known as Maharashtra CET ( Commen entrance test ). CET exam is conducted for various courses. To take admission in Engineering, we have to give exam of physics, chemistry and mathematics. Mathematics is key to clear this examination, because it covers half of the paper. There is 200 marks examination, in which mathematics is of 100 marks and both physics and chemistry is of 50 marks. One should study all this subjects from the textbook of Maharashtra board to clear it. This exam is little easier than JEE. But the quality of mathematics questions is almost same. To give exam we should fill examination form on mahacet website. It charges around 600 for general category students. After the examination, result is declared on website after 2 months. For admission we should register for examination and we have to upload all the required documents. There will also be physical varification of documents at FC centers.
