Career preparation was top notch as career counselling, networking was provided that helped students to prepare for their future careers.
Campus is the best attractive thing in this college as it has very wide and big campus were you can play sports, chill with friends, study under trees and many more.

Dislikes

Cost i think the cost is too high we can be burden for students who cannot afford and lead to student debt and pressure for family.
Large classes is also an little issue because in first year large lecture classes can feel impersonal and make it difficult to get individualized attention.

Faculty:

The faculty of this college holds advanced degrees in their fields typically a Master's or Doctorate (PHD) that ensures they have a deep understanding of their subject matter. The doubt of individual students are solved by every professor as much as possible by giving clear understanding and whenever student want to approach them they are easily accessible. Professors convey complex information in a way that is understandable.

Most of the professor are middle aged from 30 to 45 various senior professors are also there and also there are various young professor's also most of them are professionals in their field any have a expirence of what they talk about for eg professor for cost accounting, financial accounting and management accounting are Chartered accountants.

Faculty:

Faculty of college was at my time average. There were some good teachers and some are ok ok kind of. Some lectures were so boring that we used to get sleepy and some sessions were so interesting that you pay attention to entire lecture. It totally depends upon the teacher.

Normally 4-5 lecture per day, average age was 32-45, Qualifications of faculty like C. A, M. com and M. A etc. C. A professor teaching subject like Accounts, management accounting B. com and M. com was like for business communication and environmental subjects.

Average. Not so clever. At times students are wiser than the staff. Need more cleverly and experienced staff. Faculties hold experience from teaching and often come from other colleges. People from outside world other than teaching should be considered as well.

Faculty:

We had on campus faculty as well as visiting faculty. The average age actually varied a lot we had few professors who were 40-50 and few were in the 25 - 35 age group. I'm actually unsure of the number of lectures in my course. Yes, they were very clear and precise in the subjects they thought. Although some were very arrogant and had made favoritism a subject.

Life at Somaiya

Faculty:

Teaching Faculty for Technical Streams like Bsc Computer Science and IT is not up to the mark. The teaching skill of these teachers are not interactive and leads to boring of such good industry demanded subjects. But yes there are many courses after college which one can enroll and learn the practical approach. Being Somaiya a brand many companies approach college for such after college courses which also provides certificate in association with the college. In a day usually 8 lectures happen out of which 3 are practical and rest are theory. For saying Faculties do old many industry certification but are not good at teaching and thus sharing their knowledge to the youth.
