Bcom degree is not recognized now a days because people around take it as a simple course. But if you are really interested, you can build a career out of it. Bcom degree over a period of 3 years provides wide variety of knowledge in accounts, auditing, costing, business management, economics, advertising, computers and even taxation. All the fields of commerce are covered in this 6 Semester course. Only the thing is how students pursue it. Syllabus now has case studies for all subjects which help students get well versed with how the world beyond this walls works. It gives an idea as to how to find solutions for the problems in every field of commerce. However, I feel that the curriculum should include industry visits atleast once a year as the projects and assignments for the course are basically dependent on it. Besides this, studying is important even if you are pursuing a simple Bcom degree. I have realised that difficulty level of exams increase in every Semester

Course is relative to Mumbai University curriculum. College takes intiative in making the student confident as it includes practicing presentation skills and builds communication skills simultaneously.

After the 4th semester students become eligible for the campus placements with an average package. I am not aware of tue companies and the offers yet I am also not aware of the percentage of students getting placement

From 5 th semester you are eligible for the campus placement . You will get average package of 2 to 3 LPA which sounds not good for better placement master or MBA is needed so I am planning to go for a MBA in finance

I choose bcom because I want to learn about accounts , law , export , etc. This course help us to build strong communication skill And the faculty are well educated such as some had done phd in their particular field and some are experienced for like more than 10 years. Exams are conducted on time and the paper becomes easy because of the faculty the way they teach makes the syllabus look east to study

In our college there is a placement cell if we become the member of that cell we are able to get various job opportunities in different companies like tcs, reliance, various IT companies .the placement cell also provides us training related to interview, various assessment exams, various workshop are also conducted.

Faculty members were good at their job. The curriculum was designed in a manner that focuses on the overall growth of the student. Subjects are very useful in the job market. Exams were conducted on the time. As the college is Autonoums they can change the syllabus according to requirements.

I selected this course because of my passion towards Accountancy. Faculty are well supportive and they provide Interactive Studies. All the Materials are provided in Student's Portal as well as you have access to library for studies. Level of Examination is Normal, if you study well you can easily score well.

The placements are good. After a bachelor's degree, decent jobs are available to students and after a master's degree or MBA, professional jobs are available to students with a salary of upto 10 LPA. I plan to do CFA after getting the degree.

I choose b.com accounting and finance because my core interest is in finance and the Pillai college faculties are so helpful they teach in such a way that the student need not practice that, again and again, they also guide students apart from the course. they encourage students to learn several courses apart from academics and the exams took place from time to time though we have to study hard to get good grades. if you pay attention during lectures it is not that difficult to pass exams
