- Hospital is quite good. Patient flow is high at hospital.
Admission:
GDC Amritsar was the first choice while filling in Punjab.
This was because the distance of college from the home was not much.
I also chose GDC because this college has separate hospitals for dentistry. This proviedes skill development for the future.

I have chosen this college over another because this college is the oldest dental college in punjab . Well in punjab their is only two government dental colleges but our college is best in terms of number of departments.

- Patient flow is very high. Everyday 200-250 patient visit the hospital
- Hospital infrastructure is very top notch.
Admission:
I applied for many colleges but GDC was my first choice in Punjab. This is because this college has separate hospital for dentistry.
This provided good exposure with patients for the students . This helps to enhance the skill which is very important for a dentist.

• I applied to other colleges in gujrat and rajasthan couldn't get them due to high cutoff. Got admission in jaipur but left it due to poor infrastructure and patient flow
•yes i did get rejected from other colleges due to high cutoff that year
•neet ug is held every yr for admission in mbbs bds and nursing colleges it is a nationwide exam

The fee for the BDS course is mentioned below:
For admission in the BDS program offered by SGRD Amritsar, candidates from general category need to secure 137 to 720 marks whereas candidates from SC/ST/OBC category must secure 107 to 136 marks in NEET. However, the cut off marks are decided and released on the basis of various factors.
For the admission in BDS, candidates belong to OBC/SC/ST category should get 30 percentile i.e 112 to 87 marks in NEET whereas candidates from OBC/ EWS category and UR/EWS category should get 35 i.e 112 to 99 and 40 percentile i.e 720 to 113 marks respectively in NEET.

In general, candidates must be 18 years of age to get admission at government dental college Amritsar. For the admission in Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), candidates are selected under 85% of the state quota whereas 15% are reserved under AIQ seats. As per analysis based on previous years data, candidates securing more than 530 marks can take admission at BFUHS under the state quota seats.
