The annual fest of our college is pryan. And it's one of the best and biggest fests in Imus and very famous in Mumbai. Everything is organised by college students. Classrooms and other facilities are very good. everything is under CCTV. Sports and other clubs activities are too good. Everything is there are sports
Very few female students join marine engineering courses, students get full exposure to participate in all types of sports activities, be it cricket, volleyball, basketball, swimming, table tennis, badminton etc. At frequent intervals, many types of intra and inter College competition are there.
Hostel is included in your academic fee and you don't need to worry about food as it is also included in academic fee. Hostel facility is very good as you will get a sea facing hostel in Mumbai with free with wi_fi.
We celebrate many days at this college like the IMU day, annual sports day, swimming competition, tech fest and model making, all the students can take part in these events. There are also DJ nights and debates.
Extracurricular activities are given as much as importance as the academics at MERI. Events like sports fest, annual event Prajaan with dance and music and DJ war. Essay writing and debates are also part of this.
The course is not only about the text books or theory, physical hard work and mental capabilities also play a huge role in the lives of marines so the extracurricular activities are of great importance in this college. Different sports events are organised yearly, apart from that labs are high tech with advance equipment with the the updated syllabus the learning experience also increases with enjoyment.
Labs are advances and updated with modern equipment. The sports matter a lot for the university students as they have to be part of marines, the college also have its own teams of different sports. Although the college is coed but the gender ratio is way off because most females don't want to be a part of marines.
Don't ask about gender ratio. It's completely desert. As you have playground, basketball ball court, Table tennis court, badminton court, swimming pool, well-equipped audi. Student diversity- from every part of the country Politics- no political union Religion- secular college
Thought being a co-ed college the gender ratio is very bad since I'm India generally girls don't want to join merchant Navy because the life is pretty tough and you have to stay away from the family. So very fewer girls take admission in the college. Though lab facilities are nice with experienced faculty members.
