KPMSOL is an amazing college!

Likes

It's the campus infrastructure as it is our of ordinary and entire building is centrally air-conditioned.
Unlike other law colleges where theres uniform dresscode our university doesn't have any such compulsion.
Top internships are provided by our college and we are also taken to high court during special cases.

Dislikes

Sad that our classes are still held in the old building of the university.
Only half the students are placed through campus and rest half has to find their ways.

Tera, Trilegal, Reliance Foundation and likewise many more of such companies where law and law interns are required are the ones who offered is intenrships. Stipend was nil for the first three years and from fourth year a stipend of 8k was paid.

KPMSOL is best law suite!!

Likes

Best located college as it is near to the sea and Juhu Beach is just at walking distance from our college.
Mithibai and some other colleges are Crossroads and therefore young college students is what we are surrounded by all throughout day.
We have best in class college building which is centrally air-conditioned.

Dislikes

All three that is engineering, law and management college is in same building and therefore it gets too crowded during lunch breaks.
Intenrships are provided mostly in Mumbai while the hun for law is Delhi.

It's mostly the corporate houses whose legal teams are ones who provide us intenrships. Mumbai High Court lawyers too have tie-ups with our college and top students of the college also get intenrships in elite law firms too.

NMIMS Law School Mumbai has given me endless memories!!

Likes

One can never be scared at NMIMS, Kirit P. Mehta School of Law as everyone is treated equally.
Since the college is in Mumbai one can make really good connections here.
Our building is a new building and is fully air-conditioned as each corner of the building we have AC feel.

Dislikes

Campus is very small as most students who come on their car has to park their cars off campus.

Internships Opportunities:

Corporate like banks, hospitals and auto companies which issues a lot of legal battles daily needs law students in numbers and are the ones who hires law students for intenrships. Where law firms don't pay any stipend, when enrolled directly in corporate, 10-15k stipend are offered easily by them.

NMIMS School of Law is a prominent law college!!

Likes

Our college is now at par with all the top private law colleges such as Symbiosis School of Law, Christ School of Law and Even IMNU.
Instead of semester, we have trimester here.
Academics are definitely the best and even better than NLUs.

Dislikes

Just a 8 floor building and out of which only three floor are ours as rest floors or or performing arts college or commin floors.

Internships Opportunities:

Tatva Legal, Mumbai High Court Prominent Judges and also top corporate law firms are the places where our college students are given the opportunity to intern with. Recently Khaitan was the one which partnered with our college to intern with.

NMIMS, School of Law at a glance

Likes

The girls to boys ratio is 60:40. The college life is great. You get to interact and network alot. The college timings are nominal especially for the final year students, thus allowing students to go for their internship and work after college.
Each and every professor is well qualified and are quite helpful. There are permanent faculty and visiting faculties. Most of the visfacs are lawyers and along with theoretical knowledge they give you a sneak peak of the practical work too.
Law school has its own placement cell which provides internship and recruitment opportunities time to time. The initial 2 years are for BA/BBA and the rest 3 years are reserved for core law subjects followed by specialization subject in final year.

Dislikes

The campus is the main issue. Mumbai has the parent campus and it does not have its own building because of shortage of the space in Vile Parle. Rest all campuses are sprawled in acres of land.
They have strict attendance policy and do not even consider exemption for internship or personal work. Many students are debarred from college due to attendance shortage.

Internships Opportunities:

The college's placement cell has provided internship opportunities in various tier 1 firms like AZB, Khaitan, CAM, Wadia Gandhy, Dhir and Dhir, Tseries etc in different departments of the firm. All these internships are paide and the hoghest stipend went upto 10k for a month. Although 90% students find internships through their own contacts and network.

Internships Opportunities:

A lot of prime legal internships are offered at top-tier law firms in Mumbai and around too. the recruits are from Trilegal and AMCM. the internships are unpaid for the first three years however after that there can be some expectations of internships with an average stipend of 20000 INR per month.

Not worth to take if you are getting low grade NLU

Placement Experience:

Placement cells are very new in this college. Not much placement. Only a few students are placed. Some students are placed in good law firms. Some go for judiciary or litigation. Placement cells share the wrong details about placement.

Virtual College Life Review

Internships Opportunities:

I don't have enough or requisite information on what are the opportunities laid down and the opportunities which give stipends. The virtual world has made these things difficult to understand. The placement cell does send out some emails in the inbox about the internship offers at various firms and under some lawyers.

Internships Opportunities:

College provides great help when it comes to internship part every year we get two breaks i.e. summer and winter break where college provides internship to the students. It is mandatory to do atleast 1 internship every year. First-year - NGO. Second-year - trial court lawyer. 3rd, 4th and 5th year - law firm. It's not mandatory to take college internship if a person has a better option than he/she can do that.
