Our college has faculties like none else as not NLUs or the Jindal's, some of our professors are also from international University. Our professors also don't offer any freebie and they work very strict with them. Mrs Nalini Mehta is my favourite faculty who taught us IP (Intellectual Property) and has been teaching since last 3 decades.

KPMSOL is best law suite!!

At NMIMS Law School faculties are like plenty and plenty because a total of 1200+ studnets are studying law here and nearly 50+ teachers are there to look after. Also, many guest faculties are invited daily or rather weekly. From the permanent faculties that we have Profesor Jeetal Rawal is my favourite since 1st year.

NMIMS Law School Mumbai has given me endless memories!!

Our college is a pioneer in law because it has pioneer kind of faculties. Our exams are best suited as faculties make sure our syllabus is completed before 2 weeks and we are then given tutorials by them. Passing percentage here is over 90% because faculties teaching is such that passing exams hardly take some doing.

Academics are definitely the best and even better than NLUs.

At our college, we have 10-12 faculties every year and so in all we have around 50-60 faculties. Around 400 studnets capacity enrolls every year and thus 1:6 is ratio at NMIMS Kirit P Mehta School of Law. Ridhi Nair who herself is a PhD degree holder and also was best in teaching too.

The professors in our college are good and the course also.

The facult members of our college are really good. They are well educated and hve to qualify certain exams before joining the college. Wr have midsems, quiz and final term every semester. The course is well structured.

NMIMS, School of Law at a glance

The faculty consist of permanent faculty and visiting faculty. Most of the visiting faculties are lawyers as well thus they impart practical knowledge along with theoritical knowledge. The professors are quite helpful and they do sometimes offers internship and research oppurtunities. Attendance expemtions are on the discretion of the proffessor and most of them consider internship expemption. The faculties are approacable. All students are given their own and each professor's NMIMS maild id. In 1st and 2nd year there are 6-8 subjets of BA/BBA and from 3rd year 5-6 core law subjets along with the lective subjects like cyber law, air and space law, election law, media law, maritime law, sports law, law and tech etc. For final year 4 specialization subjets are offered to the students to choose one amongst them. Criminal Law, Business Law, Constitution Law and Intellectual Property Rights. Each sem is of 4 months with Internal Assessment of 50 marks. This 50 marks include 20 marks for written exam, 10 marks for Group Discussion, 10 for class participation and 10 for quiz. This is followed by term end examination of 50 marks with minimum passing score of 20 marks. The examination ranges from moderate to easy and mostly the questions are situation based. Though most of the students clear the exam in one go but there are students who fail and given another opportunity in form of re exam held one month afrer the result declaration. There is no system of kt or backlogs. If one fails the exam they are required to give re exam and clear it. If not then the student is debarred for a whole year from the college.

Lawyers dream

The faculty to student ratio is 1:45. The teachers are definitely very approachable and provide the students with google clsssrooms for study material. There is an ICA component for 50 marks and an end semester exam for 50 exams every semester. A year consists of 2 semesters. The exams are of moderate difficulty. Sometimes great faculty. They are approachable

Faculty are qualified They have a minimum of double degrees and hence are knowledgeable in their respective fields Certain professors are apporacable whereas others are not There is a bit of a problem with a few teachers having too much of an ego to even answer doubts or concerns

NMIMS School of Law - Summarised Review

With a very high attendance requirement, one has to attend the classes a lot & the faculties indeed do make it less cumbersome. Most faculties are well prepared for the lectures and offer fresh insights with current trends & set precedents. Also, they offer an extra hand while preparing for extracurriculars.
