Poor infrastructure, average faculty and not-so-happening campus life

Likes

The college has built it's own networks and has a good reputation overall.
NSS is quite active here and conducts majority of events.
Most events here are organized by students single handedly which provides them exposure.

Dislikes

Basic facilities like proper hygienic in washrooms is not present. Despite such high fees there is no air conditioning in classrooms. Even the library has very less and construced seating space with less availability of relevant course related books.
The faculty here is least considerate and instead of teaching they ask students to give presentations the whole semester. Their teaching methods are not up to the mark especially in a course where they are expted to train us as futures teachers.
There is absolutely no campus life. The college is very strict about attendance and calls PTM every once a whil even for students above 75% attendance. The fests here have no vibe at all and there is no placement in our course.

Students in B.ed course become eligible to take jobs in the last semester i.e 4th semester. The college does not provide any placement in our course instead students themself have to mail and contact different schools to secure a teching job. Average package a student can expect depends on many factors like their subjects, qualifications and skills. On an average one can expect around 6lpa in private sector. For securing jobs in government schools Students have to clear exams like DSSSB etc where average package ranges from 10 -12 lpa. Many of my seniors are doing jobs in private schools as techers while some teach online and have their you tube channels. I am planning to do masters in English literature from DU to increase my knowledge and job opportunities.

Likes

It's in a good locality the nearby is very safe and clean.
The college has lush green environment qualified teachers.
The metro connectivity is good and parking space is also available in college campus

Dislikes

Washrooms space is small and canteen food needs to improve.
The burden of file works and weekly presentation.
The strictness of professors and lots of assignments.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I opt for this course as I always wanted to be a teacher so after completing my bachelor's from Delhi University I opt for b.ed as it gives me an opportunity to be a teacher and also tells how to teach students and how to be good teacher. Faculty have post graduation and some have PhD. The exams are taken twice in a semester one is internal which is taken between the semester and other are external exams which is also known as end semester and also practical are taken and internships are also given in good schools for practice.

What are your reviews of Maharaja Surajmal Institute, Delhi, for a BBA?

One of my friends studied there and according to him and his classmates it isthe worst institute to pursue a BBA degree.

Below are the points mentioned which will prove why they have such an aversion towards this institute:

Attendance is the major issue. You need to maintain at least 75% attendance. The professors can detain you at 74% attendance.
There are only two streams - BBA (General) and BBA (Banking & Insurance).
There are a total of six subjects in each semester. The faculty is not so good.
Mugging up is better than understanding the topic.
The infrastructure of the institute is outdated. The top floor is the administrative block, and the ground floor is for the campus.
No enthusiasm is shown for extra-curricular activities.

The college environment is a mix of decent students and dull students from various schools. MAIT and other below-average colleges conduct the seminars. The college timing is from 8:10-1:30, with a 20 minutes break at 11:00. There are six classes in a day. It feels similar to a school.
