Maharaja Surajmal Institute Janakpuri- A short tour

Likes

Behaviour of the staff, well experienced faculty and staff and well knowledged
Campus area is clean, big, and has a nice big sports ground
Has a seperate hostel for both girls and boys

Dislikes

The building in which the college teach bba, bca, bcom doesn't have ac in them, in summer it causes problems

I like the fact that this college never wastes your time in case of lectures. If one class is cancelled due to the absence of the respective professor they give a substitute or merge the class so you do learn something. 3:4 is Boys to girl ratio .
I like the campus it's not very huge but also not very small it has a big ground and a garden area . The infrastructure is in red brick building which makes it look like a proper University in Delhi. And There's lifts for students in each department
The Teachers are really helpful and understanding there's a community for students wellbeing and the HODs of each department are approachable and helpful. The teachers are supportive and the placement opportunities are the bestest in this IPU college

Dislikes

There's only one canteen and that also lacks variety of items and the main items available there don't taste really good .
The hostels are really dirty and small have no basic amenities and the mess dinning area is really small . It can hardly accommodate 40 students and the mess food tastes worse and is prepared in an unhygienic way.
The fests organized aren't very interesting. And not very known people are invited in the fest there's always some uneducated famous youtuber who's famous for fighting and all is invited and there's indecency in such fests.

Admission:

I applied for Maharaja Surajmal Institute as it's known as the SRCC of GGSIPU and it has the highest placement packages in comparison to any other Colleges of GGSIPU and it is ranked the top college of GGSIPU so I opted for admission here and no I didn't get rejected from any universities I got admitted to the one I wanted it's just that you require alot of patience and need to be active about the admission forms being out and all. To get admission in the BBA program at Maharaja Surajmal Institute, a student must have completed their 12th standard or equivalent from a recognized board with at least 50% marks, with English as one of the core, elective, or functional subjects. Admission is primarily conducted through the IPU CET exam held by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. However, students can also be admitted through CUET if their name appears in the merit list and their rank is below 500. Based on the CET or CUET rank, candidates are called for counseling where seats are allotted. Overall, the eligibility and admission process are quite transparent and ensure that deserving students with strong academic backgrounds get a fair chance to join the program.

Likes

one of the greatest benifits was meeting new people from diverse background
faculty was very supportive , encourages us to take part in events . also i am still in touch with them
placement cell is a big plus, provide numbers of opportunites for sales feild

Dislikes

one major drawback is the unhygienic conditions of washroom on campus
another issue was the type of recruiters. many companies visited major were for sales role only
real world applications is missing. study is book based only

other colleges i applied to 1. vivekananda institue of professional studies 2. maharaja agrasen 3. delhi skill and entrepreneurship university i got confirmed in 1 and 3, while 2 didnt work out due to higher cut off the reason i chose my college was- location advantage, faculty reputation, placement track record admission process of my college was- eligibility- minimum 50-60% marks in 12th and rank should be under 1500 in CET preferred exam by students is mainly CET and CUET for MSIT cutoffs are usually high

I chose this college as it is face of IPU . Very good placement rate for bba as compared to other colleges . I applied to DU through Cuet. I got into it but Study Wise DU lecturers are busy with events more than lectures

Great teachers! they are well renowed in there subject
The canteen is also good and well mentained
whole college is clean and proper hygiene is mentained

Dislikes

compare to other colleges the campus is small
there is no facility for sports equipment. one has to bring there own equipments
college has ground but the staff don't allow to sit there

Admission:

Maharaja surajmal institute is the top institute in ggsipu and renowened as the top college for bca course. It was my 1st preference because of its overall ranking and placements. my marks were enough to get me into this college. the exam accepted by my college is ipucet it is a mcq test which everyone has to give who wants to entroll in this college.

Some information about MSI

Likes

The flexibility of engagement with teachers and other students. The teachers a helpful and they do provide really good data and resources for learning
The library have some really good collection of referance books along with literature. The campus isn't really big yet the surroundings are quiet pleasant.
The campus isn't really big yet spacious and their are nice cafes and food outlets around the college.

Dislikes

The traffic near the gate because of big cars and e riksha
The campus is good however there's no eye catching architecture so don't expect the students of the year kind of campus
Basic amenities are good but could be improved

Admission:

The college is affiliated by the university I chose to get into but couldn't. Therefore it's a best college to choose after the university because of the versatility of teaching staff, the resources for education and the efforts of the college to maintain trust in it's students.

Some faculty members are very kind hearted

The infrastructure is also a very old construction
The canteen of the college isn't a very good place to hang around

This college is ranked as the 1st in the IP universities. The placement rate they display is impressive and eye catchy, Ofcourse this wasn't my first preference but I scored a good rank and got admission in the very first round.

Teachers are very good and supportive and well qualified and experienced as well

Dislikes

Infrastructure could be improved there are A/C which dont work properly
Elevator is slow and there could be crowd when using the elevator
Permissions are required often to play football in the ground

Admission:

The adkission process was all online you have to put up ur prefernce on the portal you can check youtube channels for that. I did not get du and this is expensive as i could have saved a lot of money but if ur aiming for higher studies u should go for du to dave money but i came here to know about people college life and also bcs i had this as my best option near to my home and affordable and gentry obviously.
