GITAM School of Architecture (GSA) situated in Vishakhapatnam was established in the year 2011. GSA is affiliated to GITAM Vishakhapatnam, a Deemed to be University under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 is a premier educational institution in the country imparting quality education. It is ranked 67th in NIRF-2021 University Rankings.

The School’s core strengths of academic rigor, focus on teaching-learning, specialization of faculty, handpicking of teaching talent and involvement of leading practicing architects in design teaching, have been endorsed by professionals and academicians alike.

GSA Courses

GSA offers five years Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) and Master of Architecture (M.Arch) in Sustainable Architecture program duly approved by the Council of Architecture (CoA), New Delhi.

B.Arch Eligibility:

A pass with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate at the end of the new 10+2 scheme of Senior School Certificate Examination or Equivalent, with Mathematics as a subject of examination at the 10+2 level from a recognized Central/State Board.
A pass in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) or a pass in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main - Paper II (B.Arch.) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

M.Arch Eligibility: The candidate seeking admission in M.Arch. (Sustainable Architecture) programme of GSA is required to have a minimum 50% aggregate marks in B.Arch.

An Excellent choice

Likes

Atmosphere it is very good, faculty is kind and friendly
Totally fun way to learn like this and trust there will be no regret choosing GSA Visakhapatnam
Seniors is are kind, there is no sign of negativity . Good amount of workshops and tours

Dislikes

Workload is so much and less time and expensive a bit too much in tours and stationary and the standards

Admission:

I've also applied for SPA Vijayawada but since is it is far from my city I joined here and it was a good decision and I don't regret coming here. I chose it since it is nearby and it is reputated. Admission process here is after writing the respective entrance exam of B.Arch like JEE mains B.arch or NATA . You apply in the respective college site and visit and speak with counselor and complete admission process by paying 75k which will be returned back after the college starts. Deducting the counselling fee we get 72k in our hands. Some students will keep the money as is for future use in study tours. Nata is more preferable. Admission process is smooth unless you're not clear where to go and choose

GSA Vizag doesn’t offer 100% scholarship to the students but it rather ranges from INR 10,000 – 20,000 per year.
