Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest branch in cusat and it has NBA tier 1 accreditation. Cusat prepares us for real world because there are many clubs in this campus who travel throughout India and out of India for many competition these clubs gives us practical experience like build formula cars, rovers etc.The exam in cusat are though and it's hard to score very good marks in end sem exams

Syllabus and Curriculum is as good as IITs. The faculties are highly qualified and efficient. The teachers are highly skilled and have a friendly attitude towards the students. Exams are kind of tough if the student is not serious enough to study. Students acquire a wealth of knowledge apart from the syllabus through faculty with many years of experience,

I took BTech Mechanical engineering at Kushal because of its high placement ratio offered here and due to good academic facilities last etc. There will be around 10 Faculties available for each class and they are very helpful in our academic performance too. The teaching method is mainly by lectures and using the help of smart classrooms and which enable the students to improve their practical approach towards their syllabus. There are two internals in every semester and end semester exams are conducted timely and the results are published accordingly. While comparing to another university the syllabus of society says a little bit of thought it can be easily passed if you work academically your best.
I took admission into the 2015 scheme of mechanical engineering. The course structure is amended according to the need of employability and technical advancement. The faculties were well qualified and even most guest faculties hold Phd degrees. The mechanical engineering department of SOE boasts the presence of well-renowned professors and lecturers. As most faculties were well experienced, no spoon-feeding was entertained during lectures. Examinations were conducted without any delays and passing the exams was not a Himalayan task, thanks to the input by the faculty. The results were published three months from the date of the completion of the exams. The practicals were also conducted in a smooth manner and good knowledge about the experiments was essential to clear the exam.
There would be 2 Semesters during an academic year. Scoring in exams is difficult compared to some Universities but it is ok. The teaching staff was cooperative and encouraging. Infrastructure was also quite good. Students who were weak in studies alongwith the students having supplementary were provided with special classes for select subjects after regular class hours by the department.
The fees structure here is according to the rank you scored in CAT exams. If you have better score you will come under state merit and you have to pay 25,000 for a sem and it increases as state merit changes to all India and NRI quotas. The SC/ST students have free education and also for OEC students the fees paid is less.
CUSAT SOE Mechanical is better than FISAT. It is among the most reputed technological institutes in the region. CUSAT offers excellent facilities and opportunities. The Mechanical department has a brilliant faculty base.
According to CUSAT placements of recent years, the average CTC for Mechanical branch is around INR 5 LPA. Godrej, L&T, Vedanta, etc. are among the core companies that recruit through the campus drive. PSU and IT companies also recruit Mechanical Students.
You should choose NIT Jamshedpur for Mechanical Engineering. It has an impeccable Mechanical faculty. The professors have years of experience in the field. The placements are more competitive at NITs. NIT Jamshedpur placement highlights for 2021 show around 96% of Mechanical students got placed with an average CTC of INR 7.3 LPA. Vedanta Ltd, Tata Steel, Royal Enfield, etc. are some of the major recruiters for the branch.
